Using the irremote library, an IR receiver and an IR LED is also a good option if you want to automate remotes with arduino without taking the remote apart. It’s also quite beginner friendly.
Arduino is everywhere weather it’s space or earth. Even world’s smallest satellite was arduino based. I love to work on arduino and raspberry pi projects.😋
