Well unbox: writer got 1 of these magnetic cables yrs. ago & it did work fine the 1st time when plugged in.
Problem is U would leave the male part into UR lightning port unhook the cable & use UR Apple product.
When it’s time 2 charge UR Apple product the cable itself would not recognize the male part that was left in
UR Apple product. Needless 2 say I returned the product twice. Just in case the 1st cable was faulty.
Hopefully they done a lot better since then David E.
