Between the TR parts and the top end ryzen skus intel really isnt fairing too well lol

Who would have thunked this 3 years ago?……

  2. Raj Kishan on November 27, 2019 at 1:30 am

Watching the gaming benchmarks i was thinking "Wow! The 9900K is the best value for money CPU for gaming". Then i gasped!! WTF… Did i just put "INTEL" and "Value For Money" in one sentence??? Oh how the tables have turned….

  3. The Hero No One Gives A Shit About on November 27, 2019 at 1:30 am

And that’s a lot of ads

  4. gamamew on November 27, 2019 at 1:30 am

So the best "gaming" CPU is now 2000 USDs

  5. Marvininini on November 27, 2019 at 1:34 am

Wow, what freakingly impressive results!! After this I am seriously looking forward to 4th gen mainstream ryzen cpus outperforming intel cpus in gaming and everything else 😀

  6. SgtMurder on November 27, 2019 at 1:34 am

"Currently the most expensive desktop cpu, period.", excuse me? Intel W-3175X would like a word

  7. Gazmend Qukovci on November 27, 2019 at 1:34 am

Buying new tech, only with AMD hardware.

  8. Lick Kitty Split on November 27, 2019 at 1:35 am

We need Happy Unboxing Hoodies please!

  9. Game Cooker US Rocks VR on November 27, 2019 at 1:39 am

100% faster with double the price with double the cores. Why is that extraordinary? Intel then you are saying is a good deal. Yes? Half the price. Half the cores. It’s funny how you guys say you are not biased when the cynicism shows so obviously.

  10. spidersj12 on November 27, 2019 at 1:39 am

My last tower workstation wad a dual AMD Athlon MP 2800+ with an Nvidia Ti4600, before that an AMD Athlon 1200. I’ve just used Intel laptops since 2007. I’m getting a threadripper 3970x with at least one 2080Ti. Can you imagine the orders of magnitude performance increase? I couldn’t even run benchmarks to compare them, the old systems don’t even run anymore either.

  11. Mario Molnar on November 27, 2019 at 1:41 am

I know that it may be redundant, but are 1440p FPS results basically the same on all processors with the 2080Ti? I have an ultrawide 1440p monitor and that will cap the GPU even more

  12. Modesty Blaise on November 27, 2019 at 1:42 am

Testing the best desktop CPUs with the least optimised video editing software that is Adobe Premiere? Please, for the love of god, move over to Davinci Resolve Studio 16.

  13. Hilke O on November 27, 2019 at 1:43 am

The gaming results found are a bit off compared to other reviews. I haven’t seen any review where Threadripper tops the Tomb Raider chart and your results just look different. Hardware.info got +- 1 fps same results on the Intel platforms but way different on AMD while using a 1080Ti
Guru3D has the 10980XE doing 20 fps more in F1 2019, while your AMD results exactly the same.
    Something is weird guys.

  14. vijay surendran on November 27, 2019 at 1:43 am

Now imagine if you used the corsair 3600 mhz kit and provided.

  15. kong xiong on November 27, 2019 at 1:43 am

Man. Atleast amd is not sitting on its ass while in the lead like Intel. Hope that they can keep this energy going for atleast a decade. Hard not to get complacent like Intel while being at the top for over a decade.

  16. Hammerhead Corvette on November 27, 2019 at 1:44 am

AMD "GAME CACHE" coming into effect. . . Lol ! the fact that having larger pools of L2 & L3 cache is definitely going to help AMD here. Let’s see if the increase it with Zen 3

  17. JJSmith Lago on November 27, 2019 at 1:44 am

Now that Intel’s flagship "gaming" lead has been sank what excuses are people going to use in order to keep buying them?

  18. aa311 on November 27, 2019 at 1:44 am

    AMD doesn’t disappoint <3

  19. Naked Hardware on November 27, 2019 at 1:46 am

A couple of bits I’m curious about here…

Your gaming results seem a bit more flattering than those from gamers nexus, curious to know what difference in your methodology might account for that. No accusing just curious.

And given that it’s the exact same architecture I’m curious to know if you have (or could get) an explanation for why the cache bandwidth is so much higher on the threadrippers compared with desktop Ryzen 3000.

  20. Nubilate Gaming on November 27, 2019 at 1:47 am

3900x is still a high end processor Right?

  21. Alex Raileanu on November 27, 2019 at 1:49 am

The real winner here is R9 3950x lol. At 750 $ msrp, it’s a freaking beast with both productivity and gaming performance.

  22. Mike Mckay on November 27, 2019 at 1:50 am

I was a bit worried a few months ago because I thought someone said intel was going to have an infinity fabric too,

But what they had ACTUALLY said was intel was going to have + times infinity pretty soon 🙂

So intel just keeps adding + after + whilst AMD turns up late and gets an A+

  23. Tech guy on November 27, 2019 at 1:50 am

So all this tells me is Intel 9900KS is the best value high end cpu.

  24. Ander01SE on November 27, 2019 at 1:52 am

    Comparing Intel’s 10980XE vs AMD’s 3950X
    Intel: …
AMD: Bring out the TR 3990X!
    Intel: *YAMERO!!!*

  25. vijay surendran on November 27, 2019 at 1:52 am

Amd comes out all guns blazing

  26. Bobby Chakraborty on November 27, 2019 at 1:56 am

At one point core i7 used to be the flagship

  27. Mr Bob on November 27, 2019 at 1:56 am

Not at that price point 😯

  28. Species3472 on November 27, 2019 at 1:57 am

    AMD Intelripper XD …

  29. DINGO KIS on November 27, 2019 at 1:57 am

Wait until 3980X and 3990X next year

Intel can start digging its grave

  30. Jesus Saves on November 27, 2019 at 1:59 am

Ill stick with an Intel i9 9900ks – about $525 and still beats both these AMD chips for gaming which is what 98% of us want 🙂 you realize these chips are $1500-$2000k right?

  31. Drunk Squirrel on November 27, 2019 at 2:00 am

Sorry but HAAAAAATEEE your new intro, bring back the old one, NOW!

  32. Vaidas Šukaukas on November 27, 2019 at 2:01 am

Why are gaming numbers such an outlier in this benchmark? All the other youtubers and tech sites I follow have these threadrippers in the back of the charts. Not horribly lagging, lots better than last gen TR, but still last. Why is here different?

  33. Liam D. on November 27, 2019 at 2:04 am

@Hardware Unboxed Have you noticed that your benchmark results for gaming are noticeably different from other Tech channels?

  34. Strap-_- on November 27, 2019 at 2:04 am

can i get one of those gpu’s in the back lol

  35. Lizard King on November 27, 2019 at 2:04 am

WTF! If i drop $2000 on a processor I want packaging that’s at least as fancy as the last gen!!!!

  36. taica gut on November 27, 2019 at 2:05 am

Wow !!! Impressive !!! Finally AMD managed to beat Intel in some games…with ~ 3 FPS at a double cost !!! Outstanding performance with an outstanding price !!!

  37. RealTuber on November 27, 2019 at 2:05 am

Look how times have changed: AMD’s fastest desktop chip crushes Intel’s top end HEDT… And then AMD HEDT makes them look like a joke
And it’s even more funny when AMD’s 32 core HEDT chip crushes Intel’s heavily overclocked desktop crap in gaming

  38. Ben Hatcher on November 27, 2019 at 2:07 am

    The best part?
Threadripper began its life as "an engineer’s pet project", and was never genuinely expected to become a reality on consumer PC’s..
I hope the engineer(s) are on a company paid, tropical beach holiday by now.

  39. Tbilisi Beats on November 27, 2019 at 2:08 am

2990wx is also 32/64 but there is big diference between 2990 wx and 3970x

  40. Kyle Kerrigan on November 27, 2019 at 2:09 am

It’s nice to see a tech company actually innovating and pushing boundaries as it seems most companies have become complacent.

  41. Fdisk Format on November 27, 2019 at 2:11 am

    I only need 8 cores !!

  42. Tony Lemont on November 27, 2019 at 2:13 am

Another boring tech muppet who can barely speak? Stop this crap! Fake subs! Peace.

  43. mechkg on November 27, 2019 at 2:16 am

Alright this is fun and all but I really want Intel to get their heads out of their butts and come back in force in 2020-2021. As much as Intel deserved an ass kicking I don’t want them and AMD to just switch places. Competition is good for the industry.

  44. Siva sankar on November 27, 2019 at 2:19 am

My dreams shattered after hearing the price

  45. Simple DuckyMoMo on November 27, 2019 at 2:23 am

    2019 is AMD’s year.
It got Ryzen back from the dead.

  46. john liu on November 27, 2019 at 2:24 am

Your gaming result looks really suspicious. 3970X/3960X can’t possibly outperform 9900K in gaming.

  47. björn sjöblom on November 27, 2019 at 2:26 am

not sry for intel at all after all shit they have done:)

  48. ft55555 on November 27, 2019 at 2:26 am

If you listen carefully you can hear the sound of 9900K owners whimpering in the corner.

  49. Alex Mar on November 27, 2019 at 2:27 am

Now get intel to drive these CPUs to under $200

  50. Ayushmaan K on November 27, 2019 at 2:28 am

AMD pulling out a 32 core big d*** and bending Intel over
