I have that first Sony Phone. Nowadays price is 199€ here in Finland. Best phone I have ever owned and price is also very cheap.

I wish manufacturers offered a real compact phone (4,3′ – 4,5′) with an 18:9 display. This competition of releasing bigger phones is just stupid.
Take iPhone 4s. Make it all screen with Touch on display and camera in display. Put a12 chip inside. Perfect phone. I don’t like these huge phones today.

I need a 4 inch with big battery, no flagship, no bloatware. . For now my BIG Xiaomi redmi 4 prime works fine with root acces, and no bloatware. Sony Samsung Apple are overpriced, and no root.

Why do you suggest the iPhone SE, but then state, if you can find them. All high street phone shops are still selling the SE.
I’ve just taken a new contract on one for the simple fact it is THE most easily to handle phone. It was between the SE and the Sony XZ1 compact, but even the compact is still sizeable against the SE. Also it just doesn’t feel as quality in the build department. I was really split until I held both in the hand, then it was no contest.
Glad I got the SE as well as it seems to be a great little phone.

WHEN PHABLETS BECAME NORMAL AND NORMAL PHONES BECAME SMALL?
The only small phones I found was some crappy alcatel, the Samsung Galaxy J1 and the iPhone SE.
I guess I’ll have to buy an iPhone SE…
4.5 is small and compact.. back years.. 4.7 already consider BIG.. people nowadays.. LOL
These are not "mini" phones. Maybe they are "small" phones but how you didn’t have any 4" phones?
I hope a company out there makes use of this market for small smartphones with good performance. 4" phones with good performance would be amazing.
There’s some ridiculously small Androids out there. Maybe they aren’t flagship specs, but they’d have to be more relevant than these regular sized phones here!

For me 5.2/5.3 inch screens are the optimum for one handed use. Don’t like 6 inch screens but don’t think that we have a chance to change the trend. Can barely get these into pockets.
