    Review on Quadlock or Scosche?

  2. Vasilli Ryjikh on May 6, 2020 at 3:46 pm

If you looking for a cheap phone mount, the "pouch" style ones can be had on eb from $6 and up. No need to spend $30. e.g. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Waterproof-Phone-Case-Bike-Mount-Bicycle-Motorcycle-Phone-Holder-Cellphone-Bag/283632724471?hash=item4209d3e9f7:m:m1-9jyjSqVzOIydfBPzN3rg

Need an update as there are reports of iphone haptics being destroyed when using a direct mounted phone for extended periods offroad (like a gravel road or trail). And given that an iphone now cost upwards of $1,000, you might not want to mount it any longer and instead stow it in a tank bag. Instead use an old iphone or some type of mount that dampens the vibration.

  4. AG Coarseman on May 6, 2020 at 3:48 pm

    Quadlock. Look no further.

  5. Surf Blanco on May 6, 2020 at 3:50 pm

Ram mount has sent my phone flying 3 times

  6. Reece Taylor on May 6, 2020 at 3:52 pm

I bought the x claw with a wireless charger

  7. Simon East on May 6, 2020 at 3:55 pm

You don’t actually need to buy the Hitcase Suckr if you want the suction mount for videoing. You can by the RAM X-mount version here: https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-166-UN10U
That way you can keep your existing phone case. I just ordered one of these.

  8. fumblerooskie on May 6, 2020 at 3:57 pm

    Yes, please update this.

  10. THEGOSPELISGODSLOVEFORMANKIND on May 6, 2020 at 3:59 pm

Hell is cheap for what it has to offer, but it will cost you your life to get into.

Great stuff! Love your content. Any chance of an updated list for 2020?

I have had one major issue with the water resistant style cases on my bike… heat. Took a summer trip from Pittsburgh to D.C. . So i had music playing while i was going down the long boring highways… now and then my phone would shut off due to over heating. I would position the zippers in a way that the phone was still held in the case, but wind could blow in… still happened on occasion. Likely not a huge issue in cooler conditions where you would need the water resistance part of it, but annoying if its your only mount option.

Nobody uses iPhones any more in 2020 Ryan… The RAM mount X grip will eventually loose the rubber grips, but your right RAM is still king.

  16. Peter on May 6, 2020 at 4:07 pm

haha when i came up with this trivial question how did i know this kid had me covered hahaha like +1

  17. Element of Kindness on May 6, 2020 at 4:09 pm

My only gripe with RAM mounts is, the amount of movement in their ball joints. You can even clearly see this when Ryan is manipulating the X grip, the center visibly moving around even with the short arm used between those joints. Add a longer arm for camera shots, and the movement is absurdly evident. They make bigger ball joints too, but they don’t seem to make much difference either. They are all sort of rubberized, which I believe is the problem. I wish they made a knurled aluminum ball with aluminum sockets instead, but they seem to fancy glass reinforced plastics exclusively.

    Quad lock??

  19. David Robins on May 6, 2020 at 4:09 pm

RAM does make very good stuff. I’ve used their devices for several applications – GPS, iPhone, iPad Pro 9. They never move. No commercial – just my experience.

  20. Daniel McBride on May 6, 2020 at 4:10 pm

I love your watch. What is it?

  21. undercrackers56 on May 6, 2020 at 4:14 pm

"Kissing your girlfriend through a screen door" huh? I bet you cleaned up that line for YouTube… 😉

  22. Devilish Rider on May 6, 2020 at 4:14 pm

As someone who has a ram mount on an R1, I love it, it has never failed me even at high speeds I never worry about it falling off

  23. David Rotor on May 6, 2020 at 4:16 pm

    Now do quad lock.

New video time! Quad lock needs to be tested!

  26. PointlessMiracle on May 6, 2020 at 4:19 pm

Bought a aluminum CNC mount that locks my phone with a thumbscrew, 12$ on aliexpress. Solid as hell, bar mounting is a bit limited but works perfectly on my XSR700. Could be 6 of these for the price of one RAM mount.

  27. Ho Lee Phuk on May 6, 2020 at 4:20 pm

    I have three balls.

  28. Yeet on May 6, 2020 at 4:21 pm

Why not find a screw with wings on it or rig up something?

  29. Dain on May 6, 2020 at 4:22 pm

Bought a $10 mount on eBay, done over 130mph countless times, stays sturdy and has a USB port for charging your phone!

  30. The Rider Guider on May 6, 2020 at 4:24 pm

    Quadlock beats everything for me.

  31. 0verSaturated Spider on May 6, 2020 at 4:25 pm

Great videos. You are a very talented young man.

  35. Vasilli Ryjikh on May 6, 2020 at 4:31 pm

Another option for a phone mount (for bikes that don’t have bar space) is a small (magnetic) tank bag w/ a phone pouch

  36. Mike alll on May 6, 2020 at 4:32 pm

Kissing your GF through a screen door might be the best analogy I’ve heard all year

  37. SpektraWorks Moto on May 6, 2020 at 4:33 pm

Roam copilot is cheap and it works

  38. Jacob Wilson on May 6, 2020 at 4:35 pm

My ram mount called the cops once. I had to tear off my glove and try to hang up and then answer their call back through my Cardo while going down the highway. Pretty sure they thought I was getting murdered

  39. mikkei on May 6, 2020 at 4:36 pm

Make a new video of this – like gub 81

  40. Rob Chomicz on May 6, 2020 at 4:37 pm
