I’ve got 2 Samsung M.2s, but I wouldn’t buy anymore Samsung products. They don’t have good customer support and don’t honor their Cash-Back promos.

I put the 240G Kingston in my nine year old Acer laptop. I did the windows 10 upgrade before I replaced the HD and it took forever just to boot up. After replacing the HD with the ssd it boots very fast. I was so impressed that I put another one in my homebrew budget desktop. In the 6 months since then the price has gone from $31 to $37. A few days ago I put 500g silicon-power m.2 nvme in my dell inspiron 5770. The boot up is at least 5x faster. The ssd had a lot of good reviews and the price was right.

Title says "Best SSD Drives 2020" yet it was published over a year ago in 2019. Completely misleading in order to get more views…shame on you. A year in PC components is a lifetime.

  11. FlowtnWitWalden on August 5, 2020 at 8:59 pm

LOL, greedy program/os companies/developers will soon find a way to use every kilobyte of ssd’s until they’re no longer a luxury; but a necessity. Looking back at my first DOS build with (what was then) a momouth 150MB 5.25" hard drive, two floppies, optical hadn’t been developed yet, i’ve been watching this constant push to upgrade for 30+ years.

  18. TBestialHuntress on August 5, 2020 at 9:03 pm

I am buying in few days Asus ROG Strix SCAR III G731GW that comms with NVME SSD 512 gb. So even that i would love to upgrade it immediately to 960 evo, i won’t because its pain in the ass with windows instalment. So i am thinking to just buy extra 2.5 ssd with 1tb or more (1 tb is prbly enough). Think i will buy Samsung SSD 860 QVO 1TB.

  19. Davey_Rulez on August 5, 2020 at 9:04 pm

    Solid state drive drives

  20. Rick Shaw on August 5, 2020 at 9:04 pm

I’m rocking the Sabrent Rocket 1TB NVMe. Half the price of the Samsung 860 Evo and only slightly slower.

  27. UnGustoAugusto on August 5, 2020 at 9:14 pm

Stop wondering if the space would be enough for your programs, 120gb SSD its enough.
The other options are mean to confuse you, you really dont need more than you would need
    Its called marketing

If you really need more space for stupid thing just buy a second 1tb HDD

My PC with HDD: Don’t give me hope

  29. Junko on August 5, 2020 at 9:19 pm

For the love of god do not buy a NVME for gaming. It’s literally the same for a third of the price.

  30. Rahul Martin on August 5, 2020 at 9:21 pm

Dont go for brand value. Only few people knows about someother ssd brands. When comes to more performance gigbyte ssd is best among all these. People usually go for brand names instead of deep research. Try gigabyte which is far better than Samsung Kingston, crucial, Wd at this price and tell me I am wrong.

I am hoping someone can help answer. If I have 2 NVMe drives, one is a PCIE 4, would it be better to put the faster drive as my "windows" drive, or the faster one as the separate drive for game files?

  32. Yehudah Weisz on August 5, 2020 at 9:25 pm

Any beat option and budget option for Mac???

  33. Stev A on August 5, 2020 at 9:28 pm

Nobody compares ssd’s to hdd’s anymore. Now days you compare m.2 nVME ssd’s to 2.5" ssds. Other than possibly having a huge 8-10TB hdd for data storage, most advanced system’s have a combination of 2.5" ssd’s and m.2 ssd’s.

  34. ayanforever on August 5, 2020 at 9:30 pm

I bought 120gb ssd for the OS…. now i regret that after windows 10 updates!

I have never experienced a SSD dying on me, unlike hard drives.
I own mostly samsung and 1 crucial sata solid state drives
the crucial has been running every day since 2012!

  38. Frank Ocean on August 5, 2020 at 9:37 pm

Hi i just bought the following ssd, Corsair MP600 (1000GB, M.2 2280). It’s the same already in my PC. Is this not possible to be used as additional storage? How do I attach it?

  39. ajay raut on August 5, 2020 at 9:37 pm

DONT SAY SSD DRIVE, SAY SS DRIVE, SOLID STATE DRIVE.

Can i only use 1tb sdd for gaming without hdd. Is enough?

  45. Manoj Varughese on August 5, 2020 at 9:41 pm

I got my 970 Evo plus 2tb finally … Cloned my 860 Evo 1tb into it and then using it as my os boot drive. I would have appreciated if benchmark values of read/write were posted in the video with graphical bars.

  46. Makata_Pro on August 5, 2020 at 9:41 pm

This video keep showing the Crucial MX500 next to the other ssd brand and I was expecting they put on the list as a recommendation but sadly not. Upon reading and researching a good ssd’s on the market, reviewers, and people’s opinions and complains, I choose Crucial MX500. Highly recommended most of gamers and youtube reviewers and yes we don’t get wrong on samsung ssd’s performance. Tho, It’s better to do your own research and reading first or watching some reliable reviewers to at least get a better idea what to get and what to avoid. In addition, know your purpose how, where and what is for. (IMO) although you picked neither one of these ssd’s from recommendation perspective, still your own experienced can tell if you made a right decision and there’s no right or wrong choice until you try it for yourself.

Can you plug in a M.2 and SSD at the same time on a MSI B450 Tomohawk Max?

  50. Gaming Braaa on August 5, 2020 at 9:47 pm

U can do a pro gamer move and use a 1tb samsung 860 EVO and a 500GB samsung 970 EVO Plus like me. If ur just using it for gaming, this works very well, because u have quite a lot of storage and it’s very efficient, also if you start running out, u still have space for 1-5 hard drives depending on ur pc
