Which Sims 3 packs should you buy? From the perspective of “Not an EA Game Changer,” these are the packs that I recommend. What are the best and worst Sims 3 packs? Everyone has their own opinions and these are mine. I’ve created a custom Sims 3 DLC tier list to rank all the packs and I will explain every single placement. Which Sims 3 Are Worth the Money? My ranking includes how much I think packs are worth, in terms of content and longevity of play with the pack. Let’s take a look at Every Sims 3 DLC Ranked! Some of my best and worst may surprise you. I hope you enjoy my Sims 3 Buying Guide video. This would also be an excellent tool to use if you were purchasing gifts for other people. I do intend for this to be a Sims 3 Gift Guide. I am planning to create in-depth Sims 3 reviews in the future, so if that interests you, let me know in the comments.

The Sims 3 needs to be updated to 64-bit systems, and a HELL OF A LOT of issues would be fixed. EA will never do it though…

  2. Kpopper on November 21, 2020 at 8:52 pm

The only thing I disagree with personally is the sims 3 into the future, I love going back and forth from present to future and also I love the world and plumbots, but of course it’s just personal taste

  3. Soph on November 21, 2020 at 8:53 pm

I only have generations, seasons and pets but I have more on sims 4

  4. Melek BenS on November 21, 2020 at 8:57 pm

Feels refreshing to see someone who is enjoying and is still loyal to the amazing sims 3

Sims 3 island paradise was one of my favorites because boathouses. I played Sims 3 years ago with 2012 medium priced laptop and it had some lag but it wasn’t unplayable. I did not use mods. I believe it would not lag on nowadays computers. Sims 3 in general was much better and fun than Sims 4.

  6. Gabby & Erin on November 21, 2020 at 9:01 pm

What computer do you play on ?

  7. Dellorto 84 on November 21, 2020 at 9:01 pm

Nice to have a recent Sims 3 video with a quick and honest review. Love it! There is a work around to reduce most of the lag though…But of course, it should work right from the start and not because of 3rd party mods.

  9. Trinity C. on November 21, 2020 at 9:05 pm

When I first got world adventures it did that thing that the world’s never loaded at all so I would go back to my last save of that sim but for the university and future it’s never done that for me guess I just get lucky lol

  10. Jo on November 21, 2020 at 9:08 pm

i love the island paradise tho

  11. Bradley Wilson on November 21, 2020 at 9:08 pm

When I played sims 2 and 3 I only really got pets and another pack or 2. With sims 4 I have almost all because it is boring without it. But now I am coming back to the older ones so I am collecting information about them

  12. historyfreak 65 on November 21, 2020 at 9:10 pm

I really like Late Night and I found it changes the gameplay so much. I never had any lagging and I never had the problem of the game eating my sims except in Generations when the parents of my teen sims never came back but that was only one time. Island Paradise does lag really bad if you delete certain lots it runs better, not great but better. I feel personally that Supernatural is not for me. I’m glad some people like it I just don’t play that way with my sims and would find it highly annoying.

  13. Gia~ on November 21, 2020 at 9:10 pm

I absolutely love Island Paradise but I understand the lag. This doesn’t happen to me anymore though thank goodness. It only happened at the beginning

  14. Sara Smedberg on November 21, 2020 at 9:10 pm

i have rain disabled in my game, makes it may more enjoyable to play even if i do miss having it around sometimes but also world adventure is definitely still a fun pack if you have a challenge or a sim whose main focus is to complete that pack but its a darn sturdy one and you can still get plenty of hours from it! ive only had issues with one sim lagging, aka he didnt appear in the adventure world but the sim itself was fine once i booted up the save game again, but alas i always make sure to save before any type of travel between loading screens as that should almost be a given with this game.

what website did you use to make your grading scale

  16. Brianne Scott on November 21, 2020 at 9:14 pm

Late night and the world doesn’t give me problems .. Island Paradise town tho ?! Smh 🤦🏾‍♀️

  17. Nazlı KLE on November 21, 2020 at 9:16 pm

If you don’t want to lags in your game, watch this video! Don’t install the all packs

  18. Evan_Stanton_ 36 on November 21, 2020 at 9:19 pm

I’m soooo happy you did this video because for Christmas 2020 I was planning on buying 2 expansions and also base game

  19. LucaTheGAMER - on November 21, 2020 at 9:19 pm

LOVE SIMS 3 AND 4 SO MUCH

  20. ryleighcat on November 21, 2020 at 9:20 pm

The only packs I’m missing are into the future, supernatural, island paradise, and all the stuff packs. I’m scared if I get more my game will be laggy. I also don’t have any worlds, but I’m planning on getting Hidden Springs.

  21. Paralives Lover on November 21, 2020 at 9:20 pm

I love seasons, generations, pet, supernaturals, and late night.

  22. SarahCharms on November 21, 2020 at 9:21 pm

Hi 👋 great video! Could someone please tell me where to find the expansion packs for Xbox 360? I have only found P.C. version.

  23. Alaina McDonald on November 21, 2020 at 9:21 pm

great video! Very thorough. I’m going to get sims 3, and I’d also like to get an expansion pack. I’m thinking of choosing between generations and supernatural, though I’m leaning more towards supernatural… any recommendations?

  24. Marshal Yama on November 21, 2020 at 9:21 pm

4:50 For me Late night would be don’t buy because trying to make a game in the city world legit crashes my sims 3 game. It’s the only map I never use. I always use starlight shores.

  25. Mr. Fictitious on November 21, 2020 at 9:23 pm

A lot of the issues presented on any of the Expansions that cause game-breaking bugs can easily be fixed with mods. Nraas ErrorTrap and Nraas Overwatch are the two must-downloads regardless if you enjoy mods or not. Late Night, Island Paradise, World Adventures, and Into the Future would rank much higher because of mods.

  26. Clown FuckerTM on November 21, 2020 at 9:23 pm

"its gonna rain, it ALWAYS rains" i relate to this on a spirital level. Going to the playground? Rain. Throwing a parts at the festival? Rain. Celebrating birthday? R A I N

  27. Fatty Drake on November 21, 2020 at 9:24 pm

Island paradise was my first expansion T_T

  28. Bjorg Hamburglet on November 21, 2020 at 9:25 pm

  29. Sunny on November 21, 2020 at 9:27 pm

I can’t really get warm with Sims 4 tbh… Sims 3 will always be the best

  30. lingerie theif on November 21, 2020 at 9:28 pm

I have sims 4 and 3 all expansions sims 3 has lots and lots of stuff you can do a LOT when in sims 4 you have only 4 packs since I have all of them I see that sims have just split their game in millions of payable packs and having all the packs make the game better then all their versions surprisingly imo, tho having all the packs in sims 3 also VERY VERY full with responsibilitys I have to pick s4 over s3 (all expansions) because s3’s lighting is dark and makes me depressed and every sim in s3 looks the same and have that weird 2 layer face thing going on and can’t be fixed unless you use mods (HUGE TURN OFF)

*(THIS IS MY OPINION WITHOUT MODS ON BOTH OF THE GAMES. JB S3 HAS A LOT OF POTENTIAL WHEN PUT IN MODS IN THE GAME)*

It just feels lonely and dead without the mods even though the people are more interactive the overall model of the people scares me.
No light vegetation at all unless you turn up the brightness which would give you an immediate headache while doing so. Sims 4 is a hunk of loading screens that will probably stop you from leaving the house, and don’t forget if you wanna experience everything you got to buy it all but buying it all gives it a reason to be better then the s3 which is obviously ridiculous smh, but I do have to go s4 all packs owned over s3 all packs owned no mods on both.

Though i do enjoy playing s3 still. Btw coming from a person who owns all packs on all games and doesn’t use mods for either one most of the time, and goes off of the texture of the game and the cas that puts the feel and not simply the gameplay mostly without mods. Your opinion might be diff so this is all my opinion.

And nice video gives me ideas for gifts for friends or family members (Lil ones) who play s3 but can’t afford a pack.

  31. UltimateSpinDash on November 21, 2020 at 9:32 pm

I have all the main packs, but unless I am actively going for something from them, I’m leaving Pets, Into the Future, Supernatural and Island Paradise disabled.
I would leave them active if they weren’t so intrusive. Pets are incredibly needy and the game can’t really handle all the strays running around (although Nraas mods do limit their numbers). I’m not sure how intrusive Into the Future is aside from the time portal, but I still think I can always add it later on and I don’t like how the portal just appears within the first day or so.
Supernatural has you minding your own business and suddenly there are zombies on the streets.
And Island Paradise… well, you explained it quite well.

The other packs usually add something and aren’t too intrusive. Like, I haven’t actively played World Adventures content since like Late Night came out, but I still really like the Martial Arts and Nectar making skills.

  32. Danielsan on November 21, 2020 at 9:32 pm

Another problem of Into the Future is that developers never gave support to Create a World, so a lot of things and lots that are placed in the future scenario cannot be used to create a custom world. For example the flying bus: to implement it in your world, you must do it manually by modifying a file and adding coordinates and that’s frustrating.

  33. Tosh J on November 21, 2020 at 9:32 pm

I know this video is old but don’t buy the sweet treats stuff pack in 2020 because it’s expired and you can’t access any of the stuff anymore! I saw a lot a ton of reviews of people who went out of their way in 2018-2019 to find the stuff pack and when they got it. None of the stuff even downloaded, and EA didn’t do anything for them so yeah you literally wasting money trying to get it off someone else because the stuff pack license is expired. Just so anyone who wants it still and thinking of getting it don’t bother.

  34. ryleighcat on November 21, 2020 at 9:33 pm

Isla Paradiso is so beautiful, and the features are amazing. But the lag makes it unplayable. I’d say if you can afford it, but Sunlit Tides for $20.

  35. martinsch on November 21, 2020 at 9:34 pm

I feel bad for World Adventures. It has some really enjoyable content. The ability to own a vacation home and the dungeons. Specific activities like Martial Arts in China and whatever are well integrated.

Stupid issues prevent that pack from being great. For me it’s the fact that vacations stop aging. Completely broken. You can just go on vacation, push all your friends to max via telephone chat and come back.

(Never had loading screens eat my sims, though. So no idea what that is all about.)

  36. Sparkly Sprinkles on November 21, 2020 at 9:34 pm

I have into the future but I only use it for the stuff you get I don’t actually go to the future but I like some of the hair styles and clothes and furniture for specific instances.

  37. Serena on November 21, 2020 at 9:34 pm

girl now we’re in quarentine ive been trying to play the sims 3, i got a good pc but the game still lags like theres no such thing as tomorrow or today. i mean like water is moving but my sim keeps stopping every few seconds, i only have the expansions and no mods, what can i do?

  38. Tobami on November 21, 2020 at 9:35 pm

    Haha still playing. 2020

  39. Hallo Hello on November 21, 2020 at 9:35 pm

Into the future is for me the horrible one. I can’t play in the new world. It’s way too laggy

  40. MissYellowCat on November 21, 2020 at 9:35 pm

Supernatural was my favorite expansion of all time I played with it for years after I bought it I loved it. Loved playing with witches especially and all the potions you could create. Sadly the switch from the old sims 3 launcher to origin got rid of all my expansions I bought on disc. And I dont have a disc reader on my laptop currently

  41. The Sun Is A Deadly Lazer on November 21, 2020 at 9:38 pm

I’m here to see if I should buy the Sims 3 because the sims 4 is really boring

  42. I once killed A man with my shoe on November 21, 2020 at 9:40 pm

So pretty much, if the sims 3 should just had better graphics and then it would pretty much be the best sims?

OMG Thank you so much for making this video! I wanted to re-download my TS3 and I wanted to know what packs I should get, So glad I watched before buying anything.

  45. Heikki Laukkanen on November 21, 2020 at 9:47 pm

shockingly Steam are charging £17.99 per expansion and £17.99 per stuff pack (EA sold these at max price of £9.99 not £17.99!!) to buy the game and all expansions and stuff packs on steam right now in the UK and in Europe its going to set you back £341 or 360 euros!! (not that far off $450+ USD!
truly scandalous from steam. whether they bothered to fix the game and expacs to work with the new Nvidia RTX 2060/70/80/80Ti remains to be seen but i have a feeling they have not, so if you have one of these newer cards, just be aware it wont be recognized and you cannot pass one of these cards off as a GTX it wont work, so remember to save frequently because you will face constant crashes.

  48. paola martinez on November 21, 2020 at 9:50 pm

i loved island paradise! my game was never laggy, like ever, and my computer wasn’t the greatest then. i never had issues running ts3 until recently, but that’s because it’s incompatible with the mac i have now.

  49. Call me whatever on November 21, 2020 at 9:51 pm

After watching this video am now wondering what’s new in the Sims 4

  50. All ab0uT -fl0wErs- on November 21, 2020 at 9:52 pm

Finally someone who shares my love for Supernatural. It is literally my favourite! I dont always use it but when I do have an absolute blast. Island Paradise would’ve been my fave if it wasnt for the lag. Personally I think they’re all worth it just some more than others
