Hi Deb, I am in Texas and just form an LLC for my home baking business in January which sell only baked goods. Is baked goods are taxable? Do I have to apply for sales tax permit and file sales tax return for quarterly or annually? Thanks!

Very thorough explanation! When filing the sales tax report, do I report sales I made while living in Texas but the item shipped to Florida (or another state). Basically, my business is located in Texas but I ship to other states.

If you are reselling a part for a job, essentially asking the client for a reimbursement for buying the part for them, do you still have to pay sale taxes on top of what you paid when you bought at the part store?

What about sales through Etsy? My understanding is Etsy is a marketplace and they collect and remit the tax for me. Therefore I have been putting those sales under the same box as if they were tax exempt since I wont be paying them. Is this correct?
