Full PC Scrap for Gold & Precious Metals

Full PC Scrap for Gold & Precious Metals

This is how I generally scrap PC’s for gold recovery items and stuff.
Modern pc’s can be lower in value but there’s still plenty of gold from pins, ic chips, ram and the cpu.

Check out my recommended safety products, Furnaces & stuff on amazon.. https://www.amazon.com/shop/ewasteben

Palladium from MLCC’s are lower, probably less silver but still enough to make scrapping computers worth while.

To depopulate boards I use a cheap air hammer attached to an entry level air compressor, it’s fast, easy and fun.

Earnings – $80- $500 per Hdd – – Yes a larger percentage are needing data recovery and with demand increases has become alot more affordable and easily accessed. Home hdd data recovery businesses springing up bringing specialists a small income whilst at home.
And also the blackmail extortion racket is also booming…… apparently Earnings north of $50000!

1:48 and wouldn’t you rather sell computers in bulk on the internet? someone might still use them, even though they are slow and very old

  13. Dave on April 14, 2022 at 5:05 pm

guessing the North and South bridge (the two big chips you hacked off) have silver under them.

  14. TheWinalot on April 14, 2022 at 5:06 pm

Hey dude, I’m sure someones already said it or you’ve worked it out, but the "stuff" on cpus is thermal paste, the good stuff is made from silver.

  15. Mr. Gigi on April 14, 2022 at 5:07 pm

Manny of those components would still sell.

so once you’ve made such a huge mess with that air chisel…. how do you clean and seperate all those pins that just scattered everywhere and got stuck in the carpet? in most cases with expansion slots and such, you can just work a flat head screwdriver under the plastic connector and slowly, carefully pry upward pulling the pins through the plastic, then take a pait of side cutters and clip them all off at the base pretty easily… much less of a mess to pick over with tweezers later on.

A Pentium D is a dual core via dual CPUs! It is 2 Pentium 4 CPUs "glued" (Saying they are glued to each other is dumb, because they didn’t literally use glue (or maybe crazy glue) to connect the CPUs together!) together just like the earliest Core 2 Quad! A Q6600 is 2 Core 2 Duos "glued" to each other! AMD called them not true quad cores, and either them, or the community (not sure who exactly) stated that they were "glued" together! Now AMD is actively using the chiplet approach to make CPUs cheaper with their Ryzen series CPUs!

Those computers as a whole unit ARE THE GOLD!

THESE VIDEOS ARE DANGEROUS BECAUSE MANY PEOPLE ARE DOING THIS AT HOME! STOP THIS MADNESS! TOXIC FOR AIR, WATER, BODY, ANIMALS, KIDS, PETS, NEIGHBOURS AND ETC. Washing things into the backgarden, or a toilet, or to a bin, hiding from police and neighbours, selling for a big profit. YOU WILL GET BUST! IDIOTS, Wasting resources and causing massive pollution. THIS MUST BE ALLOWED IN LIMITED QUANTITIES ONLY, AND TO LICENSED RECYCLERS ONLY, TO THOSE WHO KNOW HOW TO DO IT SAFELY AND EXTRACT AS MANY AS POSSIBLE OF DIFFERENT SUBSTANCES FROM THOSE MOTHERBOARDS. IN A LAB ONLY! MANY HAVE TO BE STORED SAFELY AND LOCKED FOR LATER, WE ALL WILL NEED THEM SOME YEARS LATER FOR NEW AND OLD COMPUTER REPAIRS AND REFURBISHING. IF NOT< STONE AGE!

There are a lot of valuable substances in the MOTHERBOARDS, NOT A PCB. Sweet and innocently-sounding name is the pcb, eh? Stop brainwashing us all for your own short lasting but quick profit. GREED KILLS! What about your future and kids’ future? Where will they live?

Old motherboards, a lot of the will be refurbished to make useable computers for poor people and elderly and etc.

    PLEASE, TELL OTHERS.

This is a total muppet, does not even know how to remove cables properly. No skills at all. People like that should never be allowed into any recycling or manufacturing, NEVER! Unless they change sometime… Even then, supervise or a big trouble FOR ALL.

  24. Mark Bean on April 14, 2022 at 5:22 pm

I have an ewaste facility here in the US.
Yes you can scrap alot of old computers.

But refurbishing alot of them will bake you alot more money.
Selling each PC for at the lowest of $60-70. Make a windows bootable USB "its free" and off you go.

Scrapping them will only bring about $2k-3k usd monthly
But refurbishing and scrapping makes at least $8k monthly

  25. Mr. Gigi on April 14, 2022 at 5:26 pm

When i think, i would pay good money to have one of those computers 20y ago …

How do you differentiate the low grade boards, high grade boards. And how do you recover the gold. Not familiar with electronic scrap other then the cords.

  33. Tristan Gwithian on April 14, 2022 at 5:31 pm

Prescient, Ben! There are neodymium magnets in that dvd reader "eye" and the price of those has gone up 50% just this year (nearly five years after your video).

  34. Aaron on April 14, 2022 at 5:32 pm

old computers were something else, two cards just to play sound and connect to the internet.

  36. James Foo on April 14, 2022 at 5:36 pm

You probs already know, but in case, some of the parts in these older PCs are worth much more as a full unit than the gold you’d get off them. For example, 2nd hand DDR3 RAM is pricey still at the moment. £20-£30 per stick on eBay etc

Hello! You can give a couple of motherboards on a 775 socket, with Pentium 4 or dual-core processors for 2.3 or 3 gigahertz, and memory is needed for ddr3 for 2 gigabytes a couple of bars and for 4 gigabytes at least one. And ddr2 for a couple of bars for 2 gigabytes. Hard drives did not interfere with sat 160 or 250 gigabytes. You disassemble them for scrap, but for me for business. I live in a poor country called Ukraine, it is not realistic and expensive to buy all this hardware in such quantities. I collect computers from junk on a 462 socket and ddr1 memory which problematic to find. Something like this.
    volume_up

Have you thought about doing your gold and precious metal separation and extraction? It is a tedious process but it looks like you have enough supply to make it worth while.
