How does the speed control work on this motor when it is in a washing machine?  Is it the same as the electronic triac control in an electric drill?

  9. Steve Williams on October 31, 2019 at 6:02 pm

That don’t help mine’s only a hundred 10 volt versus 220 what the hell

  10. Edmond Rivera on October 31, 2019 at 6:05 pm

Could there be at least one frame in the video that could be in focus?

  11. David Steinfeld on October 31, 2019 at 6:06 pm

There is another guy who discusses motors like this but by far I like how you say things about dryer and washer motors as being universal no one seems to want to give the info
    For this I thank you
Now my question to you since we established the type of motor can it run on DC at 12 volts and how to set it up
    Thank you

  12. Frank Dyrssen on October 31, 2019 at 6:06 pm

Good video. The wiring is exactly the same as an Asko motor I have just pulled out. One question, will the different field winding produce different speeds? Or is the speed controlled through other means?

Hi ,can you use a dimmer switch to reduce RPM?

I have a 3/4-hp 131761300 (115V 60Hz) with white, orange, blue, yellow, and red. The white wire goes through a plastic box and thence connects to the white. All the other wires disappear into the innards and cannot be traced.

    Please advise.

Dear Sir, I have a 1 phase electric motor that doesn’t use carbon brushes. Used unused washing machines. Specifications of 230 volts AC 50 Hz 3.4 amp 100 watts 2800 rpm, SOLE brands made in Italy and 7 cables in light blue, gray, orange, brown, black, red and white orange. I have checked prisoners light blue – gray = 63 Ohm, light blue – orange = 58 Ohm, light blue – brown = 63.1 Ohm, light blue – white orange = 18.4 Ohm, gray – orange = 84.3 Ohm, gray- ash – brown = 89.4 Ohm, gray – orange white = 45.1 Ohm, orange – brown = 84.4 Ohm, orange – orange white = 41.2 Ohm, brown – orange white = 45.9 Ohm, black – red = 27.4 Ohm / alarm sound. Can you help me to determine which connection is phase and neutral.

  29. Gyula Kovalovszky on October 31, 2019 at 6:29 pm

Kár, hogy homályos a felvétel. 🙁
Damage to obscure the recording. 🙁

  30. Jose on October 31, 2019 at 6:30 pm

You shouldn’t connect this type of motor (series field coil) without load. It can basically accelerate to death.

  31. Jordan topham on October 31, 2019 at 6:30 pm

mine keeps shorting out and sparking from the back, any idea what I’ve done wrong?

  32. Owen Wood on October 31, 2019 at 6:31 pm

I did as you said but mine sparks and jolts up when I plug it in it still works but it seems way sketchy

  33. Anwaar Bukhari on October 31, 2019 at 6:32 pm

if end connectors are not there . only four wires how do u know which wire to connect where

  34. Petter Lindberg on October 31, 2019 at 6:34 pm

would it work without making that last bridge between the second brush and the remaining field coils? also are all the pins in the terminal in the same position in all motors? i got a bosh motor made in germany for example, should i be able to wire it just like this? all the seven wires from my terminal is orange.

  38. Marie Johanne Vien on October 31, 2019 at 6:41 pm

I have a question for you.
Can you tell me how to remove the drive end bearing? How to manage with the drive end part diameter that is bigger than the bearing diameter? Is there a way to unscrew the drive end or do I have to use an extractor of bearing ?
And thank you for your video, very helpfull.

  39. John Doe on October 31, 2019 at 6:42 pm

  41. Nightschool Blacksmith on October 31, 2019 at 6:42 pm

Thank you for an outstanding tutorial, just wired mine up and…. it works!! Brilliant.

  42. Nir Ophek on October 31, 2019 at 6:44 pm

The blue cable is NOT the positive! it is an alternating current so it is called phase!
The brown one is NOT a negative it is called the neutral!! (In most countries)
Jesus fucking christ if you don’t know what youre talking about don’t upload stuff to YOUTUBE!!! and yes, with out a load this motor become very dangerous! meaning a more complicated means of control is recommended!.

  43. Ainaras Gyza on October 31, 2019 at 6:44 pm
