Does you "non slam" top slam when halfway or less open? I am trying to determine is mine is bad after just getting it installed today

Are these machines having an issue with rusting?

  3. Celia Chen on June 1, 2020 at 4:36 pm

Thanks for the video. Just wondering have you found the slot to remove leftover lint?

  4. Felicia Marz on June 1, 2020 at 4:38 pm

Best video ever!!! Thank you for the most perfect explanation. I hope they credit you for sales 😎

Thanks for your video, very helpful, the specs say it’s rated Energy Efficient, do you know about how many gallons of water it uses, the rating online says "poor" rating for water efficiency. We live in a city where water is very expensive.

Great video and love this machine but I’m worry about a few things explained below.

I just bought the same machine and notice the “hot” water option is not enable. I can use up to “warm” water only. Unless, there is something I don’t know. Can you help with that?

Also, my machine is stated as 5 amp electrical current and is the 5 cubic feet. do you think that’s correct for a big device like this, i thought it was 10 amp. I’m waiting for LG to call me back, they are extremely busy now 🤔

Another thing I’m worry is, when I plug 🔌 my machine to an outlet It sparks a bit, but don’t strip the breaker. Did you machine do that?

    Thanks a lot!

Great video, thank you so much for taking the time. I just ordered this washer and have it coming this Friday. Looking forward to doing some laundry! Granted my washer has been out of commission since last week & I’m running out of cloths and towels.

I have a lot of pets. What cycle should I use for their bedding (towels) to remove most of the hair?

    I love mine!

I’m confused can you explain to me is this a wash machine only or does it have a dryer program too ?

  12. MrTrainREX on June 1, 2020 at 4:48 pm

This was a great video. Very informative, as I am considering buying this. Do you mind sharing that cheat sheet? 🙂

So when you do Pre Wash+ Normal, when do you hear the chime to add detergent and reminding clothes? 10 minutes?

Does it use enough water to clean the clothes well? These washers just don’t seem to use enough water to even cover the clothes, let alone clean them. Do you think it cleans the same as the machines with agitators? My 12 year old GE finally died and I am looking to get a new one but I don’t know what to get.

Hopefully my experience can be helpful: I purchased a Samsung front loader that shook/ vibrated my entire apartment violently. (Pictures on the wall would shake) After 2 service visits by Home Depot and Samsung I was told this was a normal amount of vibration. Home Depot begrudgingly agreed to take them back. The service crew who picked them up asked me what was wrong and when I told them they said "Oh they didn’t tell you about Samsung?" So I asked them the brand they see with the fewest issues. LG. I was nervous the next one I picked wouldn’t be any better so I decided to go for a top loader to hopefully cover my bases for vibration. I got my LG WT7300CW and it is much better. One thing I was worried about with the top load was turning. I knew these top load HE had in the past not done well with bulky items and large loads. Thankfully this (MOSTLY) is not the case. To be quite honest there is a learning curve in finding the right cycle and options that will turn bulky items and full loads. But once you get the hang of it this washer CAN completely turn and wash bulky items and full loads. The big misconception with these type of washers is that they don’t use enough water to move the clothes. More water sounds better right? Not really. While that CAN be true it mostly depends on the size of the items and the size of the total load and how it is loaded. Example: If you attempt to wash 10 or so pairs of jeans on Deep wash with Water Plus you will find that now the wash plate can’t move the items as easily and the jeans may never fully turn. When you leave water plus off it can. If you have a situation where you NEED more water to remove pet hair etc with the type of items that don’t turn well you would want to either add a rinse or use Water Plus on Heavy Duty so that the wash actions the machine chooses are forceful enough to move the items with the extra water. There are also some cool downloadable cycles on the app you can play around with (Pet hair and odor, curtains, Sweat stains, food and juice stains, dress shirts, lingerie etc)

My problem with the HE washers are that they don’t seem to get clothes very clean. I gave away my HE and bought an old fashioned top loader with an agitator.

Thank you for such a detailed video, and mixing 1x and 20x speeds to focus on the important aspects of the washer.

  21. T Money on June 1, 2020 at 5:05 pm

Great video. Question, how come I’ve never seen you add fabric softener? Thanks.

  22. Geoffrey Ray on June 1, 2020 at 5:06 pm

I have this washer. I got it in the fall of 2019. Fair warning though, you have to use tub cleaning products regularly or you will have a nightmare of a cleaning problem which I am now dealing with. Chunks of nasty black slime will break off in your wash and stain your clothes and there is no way to fully get rid of it without taking the washer apart because the problem is in behind the basket where you can’t see it. Further it looks like they used an metal alloy in part of the assembly that seems to react with water and contribute to the nasty buildup. Brilliant…. Again in an area you can”t get to unless you disassemble the washer. Searching now for a good video on how to remove the top so I can pull the basket out to clean in behind. There are videos on older models, but they did a design change recently that makes it harder to service. Huge nightmare. Good luck….

  24. Carrie Bayer on June 1, 2020 at 5:09 pm

Soooo glad I found this! We just brought this baby home and I actually had anxiety because of the water level. I’m so glad to find out I can add water to the load. Thank you!

  25. Dan Golden on June 1, 2020 at 5:10 pm

Just got this washer today, the manual is vague but this video is awesome and informative! Thanks so much for taking the time!

  26. 657449 on June 1, 2020 at 5:10 pm

I’ve had the machine for three weeks and no serious complaints. The towels are damper than I would like and I can’t figure out how to program just a spin cycle to remove the excess water. Any hints.

  27. Jill Aschieris on June 1, 2020 at 5:11 pm

Can you tell me how to set up the "download" cycle on the app? I can’t seem to find out where the option is to choose it from the app on my phone.

  28. Khin Su on June 1, 2020 at 5:11 pm

Can you post video that how to clean LG washer

  29. The Photographer on June 1, 2020 at 5:11 pm

I would need more water. It just looked like the clothes were not circulating and just staying in place. I don’t see a good cleaning process. Hopefully DEEP WATER clean is better. How are we suppose to wash a quilt or bed spread?…. Not liking these new washers, not front loaders, so my hunt goes on…

  30. Rachel Pringle on June 1, 2020 at 5:13 pm

Thank you for the video and explanations. I just recently bought the 7100 and was curious of the water level and cycles. Thanks !

    Overly complex control panel.

  32. jamidion on June 1, 2020 at 5:14 pm

This is so helpful! The amount of choices on the market and confusing brand jargon makes shopping for a new machine overwhelming. Glad I watched this.

  33. cathy schultz on June 1, 2020 at 5:14 pm

Great video, thanks. Just bought mine today and I can’t do the initial test. It says to push start and then immediately push the spin and soil buttons and hold. We keep doing it and can’t get the in 5 to pop up on the screen. I did not see that in your video can you help? Thank you

Wow, I just got this machine and loved your tutorial and review! Thank you.

  38. Sharedconception on June 1, 2020 at 5:19 pm

Really enjoyed the informative and funny video! Just emailed you for the cheat sheet. Oh and funny thing… we have the same Maytag washer that you had! I’m dreading the longer wash times since the Maytag is SOOO quick! I was hoping Turbowash would be the answer but it seems like that’s still an hour with the normal cycle unless it’s a smaller load. Is that correct?

  39. enrique martinez on June 1, 2020 at 5:19 pm

Don’t buy this lg it doesn’t wash the clothes good …we bought it and it does not agitate the clothes good at all…

  40. Terry Jourdain on June 1, 2020 at 5:20 pm

Seems extra loud to me…were the shipping bolts removed? I’ve never heard an lg so loud.

Question i have that Lysol sanitizer that needs to be added to rinse cycle can i use the pre wash+ normal settings, the directions state to added to the fabric softener dispenser

  42. Randy Minobe on June 1, 2020 at 5:20 pm

Just bought one of these. This video is a lifesaver. You did an awesome job. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

  43. Gaëlle Campos on June 1, 2020 at 5:23 pm

Hi, thanks for the great video! I use cloth diapers and I need the soaking option. As you pointed out, if it uses the same soiled water it’s gonna be a problem! Do you know if the rinse option can be set before a regular wash? Or is it necessarily for after?

  44. Kit Roe on June 1, 2020 at 5:24 pm

Thank you for the video .It helped me decide on this washer. ^_^ Is there anyway you could get me the cheat sheet? Google doc link?

  45. Anne Goodwin on June 1, 2020 at 5:24 pm

Thank you for this post. I read the manual and was still left confused as to what to do. Do you have a recommendation for how to use oxi-clean powder in addition to my liquid detergent?

  46. mprettty on June 1, 2020 at 5:25 pm

Any quick thoughts on a SpeedQueen?

  47. Nick on June 1, 2020 at 5:27 pm

Tap cold is water right from tap. In winter it would be freezing cold water. Cold is thermostatic controlled to bring the water up to normal cold water temp. Cold wash cycle is not just cold water use, it also has a different wash pattern.

Just bought mine today and I got more info from you than this manual. The only thing I didnt see is how to do an initial test. Book says push start and the immediately push both spin and soil buttons and get an in 5 in the display. We can’t get it to do this

  50. doglover48801 on June 1, 2020 at 5:32 pm

When I was looking to purchase a washer I wanted one with a sanitizer. After looking for hours and looking for reviews this one kept popping up. I was exhausted and just purchased a washer because we needed one. We received this today and it either doesn’t have this feature or I cannot find it. Any help?
