Georgetown is not Austin at all. Also youโll be stuck in traffic about 2 hours each way if you work in Austin .

I live in near downtown Austin north side. I like Georgetown as a second choice. I also like Fredericksburg, but it is too far from Austin.

Yeah I live here, 25 years… you move here and then arenโt prepared to handle the wildlife and critters. Donโt kill everything you see, and utilize the wildlife rescue centers. Donate to them.. because as you all move here… you are literally pushing wildlife into their demise. Thanks… for all the invasion. Just know… you will have to pay out of STATE TUITION IN THIS COUNTY BECAUSE OFSUN CITY. YEAH… WANNA TAKE COURSES? Down the road? OUT OF STATE!

Yeah Georgetown, weโve been here 8 years now and love it. Definitely growing but loads of charm. It has everything we love and canโt imagine living anywhere else .
I like Georgetown but then again I donโt like dealing with I-35 traffic. It kind of does feel lonely out here in Georgetown at times.
yes Georgetown really nice town I like it better than Austin cuz it is too big and too much traffic I like town and quiety, we moved here Round Rock from Austin since spring 2019 I like here both Round Rock and Georgetown really nice town (smile)

An important factor you forgot is Georgetown is heavily racist and discriminatory, and all these things only apply if you are white.
I’m waiting on a job offer letter for an Austin company. I lived in Austin back in 2011-2012. If I come back I’m thinking of living in Leander or Georgetown. I see that both cities are having new construction homes and have grown since 2012. Also with the company being off 183 makes the commute easy. Bee Cave could be an option seeing how its under 30 mins to the company on 183 using 360. Oh and I’m currently working in Chicago living in the suburbs. We have 4.95% income tax and property taxes range from 2.75-3.50%.

There are desirable areas south of Austin. New Braunfels is on the outside of Austinโs commuting zone. Great amenities in NB (rivers, music, shopping, parks) Check out Landa Park and Gruene. There is a new master planned community (Veramendi) with itโs own school, hiking trails and parks.
