Hmm If I were him I would of put a concrete wall with foundations 1 or 2 metres deep and the wall being 2 meters high, with a ramp or staircase for going over it, if it were to be a permanent solution.

If there is any aqua dam users here please clear me up

Why isn’t the water level rising inside the dam structure ?

The dam do prevents ivasion of water from outside but, wouldn’t it act like a well or closed container and stores up the rain water as the water have no place to go ?

By any chance is there any use of water pumps to prevent that ?

  7. Mr Epic on April 6, 2022 at 6:23 pm

Randys a true genius he also has fresh water stored in his contraption for use after the water retreats🤯🤯

Brenham County doesn’t exist in Texas. The City of Brenham is in Washington County.

  11. Dillon Hayes on April 6, 2022 at 6:26 pm

I understand the flood water runs somewhere so it’s going to grow greater in some places rather than others but that said I would have thought the big rubber ring would make his property a pool from all the rain falling inside it

  12. Jeff Aube on April 6, 2022 at 6:27 pm

At the unsightly comment of the very smart dome home, I stopped watching, cause this narrators comment proves one will read whatever for money.

  13. Donald Steele on April 6, 2022 at 6:29 pm

I’m one of those types of people who will have when others won’t.

  14. Peter Dicker on April 6, 2022 at 6:31 pm

Not much of a view though. I think I would spend the earth moving money on stilts and get an even better view. You’ll still need a boat either way.

    Advertising and not a story

  16. Kandice Lewis Trotman on April 6, 2022 at 6:35 pm

  20. Pete Holden on April 6, 2022 at 6:37 pm

Too much unnecessary crap in the video. Cbf watching more than a minute. Cut all the unnecessary scenes and just get to what we came to see

  21. Esosa Imasuen on April 6, 2022 at 6:41 pm

If a concrete closet saved their home, why would all homes in the area be built with concrete? Concrete is a very common building material pretty much everywhere in the world.

  22. Vanessasmartypantzz Smartypantzz on April 6, 2022 at 6:41 pm

Highly doubt anyone was laughing at him. They were all trying to save there homes. Not everyone had $8000 to spend to protect there everything

  23. Terry Herrera on April 6, 2022 at 6:41 pm

Insurance Company owes him a $10,000 REFUND !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  24. Venom Burn on April 6, 2022 at 6:43 pm

Karma means "to put forth good into the world."
To say karma like it’s a good or bad thing that you can wish on someone is a total misuse and lack of understanding the word itself.

  25. mikeyb byekim on April 6, 2022 at 6:44 pm

4:30 so my question is… how much of the damages repair cost would he have been responsible for or the deductible or whatever? and is less than the cost of the water dam, would the insurance have paid difference or chipped in since the insurance saved money too?? it makes sense to be fair.

  26. john Evangelou on April 6, 2022 at 6:45 pm

Have you noticed that we give natural disasters names,
But we never name man made disasters, you’ll never hear shit like “Train crash Terry”

  27. Nicholas Biddle on April 6, 2022 at 6:45 pm

Not only that but he can re use that inflatable dam again if there’s ever a storm

  28. That Guy on April 6, 2022 at 6:46 pm

I know that the 100 year flood plane in Houston is mismarked. Many areas that were on the 100 year flood plane would flood about once every 5 years. It was ridiculous to hear a man from Louisiana say he intended to repair his home to exactly like is was. Why? If it flooded once it can flood again.

  29. Emad-ud-deen Leiman on April 6, 2022 at 6:47 pm

I love the way the "eye of the storm" house looks. It’s a beautiful design. I looks like it’s from the future.

  30. Isaac Otshudi on April 6, 2022 at 6:50 pm

  31. Ricky Gallo on April 6, 2022 at 6:55 pm

Isn’t the shape of a balloon but the reinforced concrete.

  32. roadmonitoroz Brisbane on April 6, 2022 at 6:59 pm

8:24 I actually like the unique look of that dome house. Sort of looks a little like the Jupitor 2 in Lost in space (classic version)

  33. Praamsaga on April 6, 2022 at 7:00 pm

The fact that this video is 23 minutes long, i can see before i watch this video that there is going to be a whole lot of talking with little substance.

  34. Mikoro on April 6, 2022 at 7:01 pm

    21:52 Whoah! Shots fired!;p

  35. Sylvia Else on April 6, 2022 at 7:01 pm

The bulbous house is unconventional, but I’d hardly call it unsightly.

  36. Lisa Web on April 6, 2022 at 7:04 pm

I got work in 5 hours

  37. Robert Shelton on April 6, 2022 at 7:05 pm

Is there a filter in youtube to not get this stock footage narrated garbage? I’m really over this format.

  38. BE AMAZED on April 6, 2022 at 7:06 pm

The hurricane season is almost upon us! Stay safe with Aquadam: https://www.aquadam.net/

  39. Created Shocked on April 6, 2022 at 7:07 pm

One thing most americans don’t know is concrete houses are the best against hurricanes. Average price of house they build is $250000 and it is paper house. Architects know it is tragic and not safe but they do the job what people want to be done. It is just funny how one nation thinks about building methods. Really. Barely every other nation makes concrete houses that last long. I don’t get this silly idea to build paper house and think it will last more than 10 years.
In Europe buildings have more than 200 years oftentimes. In US to my surprise there’re in total just few buildings that live 100 years and they call it "monument". Isn’t that funny?

PS: I feel like this channel is clickbait and exagerrated in its undertone.

  40. Quesadilla 13 on April 6, 2022 at 7:08 pm

I live really close to the eye of the storm

  41. Brody Lechman on April 6, 2022 at 7:09 pm

The total amount in flood damages is now the cost of a small cabin in Colorado 🤦🏻‍♂️

  42. Bohumir Novák on April 6, 2022 at 7:10 pm

always when i saw the destroyed houses after the hurricane I said why I don’t design the houses that can withstand this order of magnitude force

  43. mikeyb byekim on April 6, 2022 at 7:10 pm

that water barrier dam is awesome. they thought he was crazy, but why think that? it makes sense that it would work. ya now tons of homeowners will start doing this. suckers

  44. rich podlaski on April 6, 2022 at 7:10 pm

  47. KittyHerder on April 6, 2022 at 7:17 pm

Tldr: People flood proofed their homes and, no, the neighbors did not laugh at them. This could have been told in 5 minutes without the lies and with the correct information.

  48. Judy Mac on April 6, 2022 at 7:17 pm

I keep coming back to Noah building that riculous Ark!! Who survived and had the last ‘laugh’.

  49. Debra Webster on April 6, 2022 at 7:17 pm

He who laughs last laugh the longest

  50. Dean DeanN on April 6, 2022 at 7:17 pm

That storm cellar full of wine won’t help much if the storm brings a flood.
