So you know I’m on the whole Bluetooth Midi kick right now! So I went and picked up the Puc+ to see how it compares to the other ones I’ve reviewed. I’ve shared my thoughts…Let me know what you guys think about this in the comments below! 👇🏾
Your battery concern is the same for so many devices. What I do as a habit is use only rechargeable batteries and replace them before every performance. I also keep a lot of fully charged batteries on hand all the time. The batteries last long so as long as you always use fresh ones, there is no problem. Get the good quality batteries, not the commercial crap. There are companies that make incredible rechargeable with cool very small charging units, even for 9 volt. It’s the same as keeping your iPad fully charged, although you can have an iPad plugged in all the time. A nice thing is to be able to do performances without mains DC power, making it totally portable. I also keep a heavy duty portable power pack to charge everything. I have the Anker 26800 one that can charge my iPad Pro and I-phone 7 plus for almost a week on one charge. It has 3 USB ports to power/charge 3 devices at the same time. If you are a serious performing musician you need something like that. It guarantees power wherever you are, even in the forests of South America. I will get an extra one if I get more serious. You never know.
I have the Puc that used Wifi. It no longer works with any of my IOS devices due to the updates. I really hope that the developers at Zivix will update the app to work with the updates. Also you should be able to use an Android charger cord to power it up.
+JohnMike there is a new software out called "CamelotPro" for all platforms including ios for $18.99 would love to see your thoughts this.
I just received one of these for Christmas. Have not fully dug into it. BUT I am reading on their website that we can provide power via USB to the Puc+ itself. That means we don’t HAVE to rely on the batteries which they claim will provide 7 hours+ of playing.
Would you have latency or delay if using with Bluetooth headphones ? I’ve found that I have a delay if I try and use Bluetooth headphones also
I can’t find this anywhete anymore… Where can i still buy one?
I use the puc+ and use i have nothing but great things to say about it. As for battery life it lasts about 8 hours of use and it just doesn’t shut off the color changes on the puc+ to red and it gives you a little bit of time to change out the batteries. Theres a puc+ app as well you can download for free and it automatically connects to every app i need it to be connected to. I would recommend anyone using the puc+ to get the app and connect that way its more secure than just connecting per app like John Mike showed in this video..
Can you add a powerful monitor to the iPad? If so, how and would there any latency?
If I were to now connect my iPad to the in house mixer… would this get rid of the low hum noise? Since the puc is an interface ?
Another reviewer stated, "I hardly noticed the latency". Are you getting any latency?
