How does this stack up against the peachtree nova? I have a nova 300 and someone who wants to do a trade with a elex R. It’s for my hobby setup and will be powering lintons. Thanks

May I ask you a question out of all the amplifiers and integrated amplifiers which is your favorite regardless of price

Loved the review. Now considering this for my Wharfedale Lintons. I have a Rega Brio currently hooked to my Lintons. Would this be better than Leak 130 ?

Nice review. I’ve owned both the Elex-R and the Elicit-R using the Saturn-R as the front end. I really liked the Elex-R and thought I’d upgrade to the Elicit-R since it must more of a good thing, right? Well, actually, the Elicit-R is quite a different amplifier. So different, IMO, that it had a quite different sonic signature than the Elex-R- and not "more of a good thing". While the Elicit-R had a tad more definition and punch as one would expect give the increased power, I found it sounded thinner, as in less density of the music, than the Elex-R. Well, the Elicit-R was sold and I’m likely going to pick up another Elex-R. (also on the list is the Naim XS3 and Rega Aethos, but at 2-3X the cost of the Elex-R, they’re going to have to really impress me). Whatever I end up with I can say the Elex-R is a steal for the price/performance it offers and something one could live with for a long time.

Can you review the Elicit-R? What are your thoughts on that amp?

I had this amp for about 5 years it is very good indeed, I recently replaced it with the Rega aethos which is a huge jump up in sound quality. I highly recommend the elex to anyone wanting a great sounding entry amp.

I listened to “Still Crazy After All These Years” last night before going to bed, so was funny to see it here! That album was very well produced.

Hello, first of all congratulations for the review, I have a question to ask, I have a rega brior amplifier that drives the Monitors Audio Silver RX6, I would like to upgrade and I would start with the amplifier: I am a jazz enthusiast and therefore I like the warmth and the detail of the sound I am undecided between the between the Rega Elict R and the Rouge Audio Cronus Magnum III. What do you suggest me?

I own the Marantz PM6006 stereo amplifier at the moment, using the NA6006 music streamer as source and would like to up my amps "omph" a bit. Thus my eyes fell on this amplifier, since I’m looking for a purist piece with good dynamics, tight bass and a little more punch than the Marantz. (I would also get a fair trade in deal for the PM6006 at my local REGA dealer) I’m running the Triangle Borea BR03 bookshelf spreakers which are very easy to drive, but I heard Jay from Stereophile saying that these speakers sound better and better moving up the quality ladder. So I’m hoping this, REGA/Marantz setup will be a good system, what do you recon? Since I’m only on a digital source it might differ from the all analogue you are refering to in this video. Thanks anyhow for this comprehensive review, please take care!
