Sonos Beam review

Sonos Beam review

The Sonos Beam sound bar is an excellent entry point into the company’s streaming products with voice control being its most winning feature.

Can you stop saying Alexa in the reviews. We get it, we know how it works.

is this worth buying as standalone sound bar, just for small room?
i really like its compact size..

Best connectivity and voice functionality but worst sound from sonos…you can’t do much sound with small drivers

hey wanted some help make a purchase decision.which do you feel is good sound setup for sonos (playbar +2×play1+sub) or (sonos beam + 2*play 5) for a living room 22ft×12ft approx. great work comprehensive reviews.

Hey, great video! I’m really looking at buying one of these to use with our projector. One thing has been bugging me though – If my Macbook is my media centre and I’ve connected that to the projector via HDMI for video, can I simultaneously connect the Macbook to my Beam via Airplay for sound only? Thanks

Beam alone is not enough! So the complaint is unwarranted.

Good review. The first to mention you don’t get the TV On/Off feature with the optical cable set-up. There is no mention of this in the Sonos guff.

Thanks for turning my TV on.

It’s half way through 2018 and CNET still doesn’t realize that yelling “Alexa” over and over is annoying AF?

I thought you guys were supposed to be tech savvy, or at least tech aware.

Thinking about replacing my Sonos 1 with a Beam, would you think that the beam provides better sound then a single Sonos 1?

  14. Chuck Spencer on March 12, 2020 at 9:15 am

Nope, happy with my playbar and sub. Returned it and tried to be a cheap mf and bought damn near every other soundbar (Bose 300 with sub open box at Sams for 599$) and still returned them all. Ended up getting a set for the livingroom and bedroom and called it a day. Happy then a mf now…lol

  18. Adam Sheehan on March 12, 2020 at 9:29 am

How dose it compare to the playbar or playbase?

Do you have to keep saying ‘ALEXA’ in reviews? My alexa has just turned on the TV on three rooms away.
