Canadian cell market is a scam! U have to own the oligopolies and use dividends to help pay your cell phone bills. They will soon allow any country to sell cars here, yet cell competition is closed.
This is such bull because all three smaller companies virgin, Fido and Koodo offer way more data for those prices. I have unlimited talk and text and 5Gb data for $85 and there still offered. This is not recent or paid for by Bell Canada.
But why is Chinese government media telling me this?

$95 for a frigging cell phone plan with just 1gb data? Are you kidding me? I feel sorry for all the Canadians out there. Lack of regulations of governments part is wrecking havoc on average cell phone user.
I live in Toronto. I shut down my rogers cell account and my family and I have a family plan with AT&T (US carrier) and this is our plan outline: unlimited calling anywhere in US, Canada or Mexico and UNLIMITED North American data. Yes, unlimited data. I can listen to Spotify for 6 hours straight (using data) in Calgary or Florida if I wanted and also have a 5 hour call to someone in NYC while I am vacationing in Vancouver. NO EXTRA charges. This BS with Rogers and Bell offering 3 GB of data? That is hysterical!!! Switching to a US carrier was the best thing I ever did.

What about the reputation of that company (Bell)!? it usually overcharges customers and it is well known as a real crook company that steel money from people!! I already had a couple of very very bad experience with Bell and I definetly Do NOT recommend it to any person.

Koodo gave me unlimited talk and txt Canada wide, and 5GB of data for *$30.* And I’m fairly certain I’ve seen similar plans from Freedom in some stores.
Shop around, and you’ll find good deals now that prices are falling.

We need to put our voice up to the companies in Canada this is ridiculous amount some people pay a month. I’m very happy with CHAT-R $25 plus tax no data I don’t need it the service is crispy clear every where included at the Person Airport some peer have issues with their provider the cell didn’t have reception in some place I didn’t have any issues.
I’m with this company since May 2011. How we can make these company to continue taking ADVANTAGE of us and start to give better plans. I STRONGLY believe others countries complain and the companies listen we need to do the same!!!

It’s so cheap in India. 2 gb a day so that’s roughly 60gb a month with unlimited calling and SMS for close to $3USD A month.
Every mobile provider in Canada is a ripoff, in one way or another. Sure so-called Freedom (gone with the Wind) has about the lowest price point, but spotty service, slow internet speeds, and hopeless customer service. Having lived and worked in several different counties, Canada is the worst when it comes to mobile/cellphone providers.

I get the same thing from rogers plus 3 gb data for $45 a month, less than half of what they said. but it is a business plan tho, probably reason for the discount.
Do not go to chatter reason is I started their new 20 gig plan and they’re only work for 7 days and then cut me off how I need my phone so bad very bad because I need it for medical purposes such as I have a church or a gland brain tumour and I need a hip replacement I have no contact with my doctors are anything right now the only reason why I’m talking to you is I’m using Wi-Fi off our building but as much as this is a $70 plan should last you exactly 3 weeks no matter how you use it and then slow down with the last week but there’s $70 plan of ripping you off and targeting a disabled person I wish there was a lawyer out there who could help me about this to take him to court also apart of final which put my mother in the hospital for the rest of our life for no reason the fellow at Woodbine Centre decided to attack us he was the representative for Fido behind the the clerk’s counter obviously my phone said it paid for were there and I asked for them NSE put the boxes on the counter and mediately removing them and throwing them underneath the counter deliberately then decided to call Security on us we are not causing no problem at all but the security guards turn around and threatened my mom to the point where she was shaking so bad my mother wouldn’t allow me to help her get these idiots off our back what is the threats kept coming to an older lady of 80 years old later on that night at our home was the Fatal point of her life she went into convulsions slamming your body against my door she fell to the ground and had a bad stroke on her left side frostbite all these threats at Woodbine kiosk of Fido counter problem to us causing my mother to have a stroke wind up in Etobicoke Hospital and was boss hours before they could see her what is the hours ticked by the stroke you can finally see what it has left behind her whole left side paralyzed and Her speech pattern was pretty bad but her memory is still there but even though I can’t see her anymore beware of these false advertising things and gimmicks that freedom or is it call it wind or is they call it Fido or is they call it chatr stay away from these companies I mentioned all they’ll do is get you into trouble and they’ll victimize you for cost far as I’m is so much as my mother that I cannot see anymore she’s all the way in Shelburne hospital for the elderly but having my mom taken away from me it surely makes me mad to see these companies get away with criminal Acts I would sure like someone to see this and have something someone connect me to give me help go back at these cell phone companies and sue them for everything they have for doing this to an elderly woman and me along with it how many days has it been since I haven’t seen my mom but able to talk to her now I can’t because my phone has been turned off where they purposely cut me off and certainly I want something done about this it shouldn’t be in the wrong hands of a company operator that could not handle his company properly and not take forward to the problem of this matter I would sure like to sue the companies of phyto chatr but I need a lawyer and some help if I can get it I’m so disabled it isn’t funny and also to have your phone purposely taken away from you I want these companies shut down they should not be allowed to take people for a ride and commit crimes where they get away from it I need them shut down I don’t want them harming anyone else Yours Truly Elvis
