Omg glad he opened it before plugin it in lol
I use logic so…
now i’m getting warmed up to replace my 11 year old PC next year 🙂 still running quite good actually but i’m growing out of it in terms of track/plugin complexity.
That’s just a tacky gaming PC wasting electricity. For music production all you need is a stable Os and apps, an entry level iMac is more than enough for the average professional musician.
The m.2 is not bolted on…
That smell is better than the smell of a new car. Unless it’s a Ferrari.
Hi dr mix
Just came across your video. Great job. My question is since it’s been sometime since you have built this pc how has the i9 9900k been working in twema of living up to your expectations. I am considering the same build but i am torn between i9 9900k or i9 9900x cpu build. My applications will be VI ,plugins, audio, superior drummer 3 with ateck count close to 40 . Is the i9 9900k doing the job for you ? Is i9 9900x overkill for my needs
WOW you purchased INTEL? REALLY? Why not AMD? Threadrippers for professionals has 64 threads and consumer level 3950x has 32 threads… you overpaid Intel wow…
Hi Doctor Mix… Love the Channel….. I have backing tracks that fade out! Whats the best software to use to put a correct ending on??? Thanks in advance! 🙂
What about noise values? Is this thing quiet enough to record in the same room? These case doesn’ t seem to have any additional acoustic treatment, right? Dies this come pre-configured for audio production or did you habe to do all the Windows and BIOS tweaks yourself? THX
Quick questions, the decision to use Windows 10 Home Advanced vs. Pro – was it based on cost or performance? Second, what system do you use to edit your YT video?
Okay so this is not quite accurate here. This is a top class PC and that’s it but there are some parts that are not really necessary. M.2 SSD for the system is needed for sure, but for the sessions it’s completely unnecessary since all the DAWs are loading everything into memory so the only time it reads from the SSD or HDD is when the project is loaded / opened, even multichannel recording goes directly to memory and from memory to SSD/HDD but it’s not affecting the workflow. A videocard is useful since integrated video is using your main processor (too). Screen resolution is totally about your own preference but using 4K is practical because a lot more channels and plugins can fit without overlaying or scrolling. Processor power is needed for sure, but especially for music making (that kind of data processing) AMD Ryzen is better. The only special feature you need is a motherboard that has integrated Thunderbolt 3 (or has a port specially for a Thunderbolt card) and it’s kinda rare, most of them has only USB C that looks like the same but a completely different standard (Even online shops f*cking it up many times). Oh and one more important thing is to have one or two backup HDD for all your work. I think thats it, i love the channel btw 😉
MacBook 13’ late 2013 with i5 and 4gigs. Still rocks
Thx man, the smell of technology for sure
The Borat of audio production : D
I believe that the CPU is too much expensive for a music production PC. If you want cores, I’d go for Ryzen 5/7 2xxx/3xxx.
In my opinion, 32GB of RAM it would be enough memory too.
Pls is there any references on Amazon where I can purchase it
i9 says nothing.. AMD Ryzen is good is in price/performace better. 16/32GB ram should do the job.
I run a 8core / 8Threads AMD FX processor and 16GB ram. And it works fantastic
Oh btw. Onboard GPU are bad asf… Buy at least 1050Ti/1060 for good performance. Thx
I ve just bought an z390 asus motherboard with included wifi … and a i9 9900kf. And 2 m2ssd of 2to from kingston kc2000 … Update my 24′ screen to a new 27 4k hdr… Just need to update to cubase 10 now…
best bang for the bucks!? .. This is one of the most expensive cpu right now..! XD
You’re doing to much
I expected more than this!
Great!
Graphic card is must for music purposes?
i have the same cpu run it on 512 buffer size and only daw open so 8 instances of serum with 8 waves plugins and literally the cpu starts breaking tested in reaper and fl studio and bitwig not large difference reaper was 12 percent lighter i will soon get the ryzen threadripper 3d gen or wait for some new releases 2020 dont buy its the same as i7 8700K
Sorry if this was covered but how much did the whole set up cost if you don’t mind me asking?
Just 3TB? I’ve got 12 and they’re half filled already. Those Native Instruments libraries are vast, just as some of those 3rd party Kontakt libraries. It’s a beautiful system you got there, but I’m telling you, you will run out of space very quickly.
This guy is a nut hugging g-string, disco ball light away from being Bruno from funkyzeit! I Was wondering the whole time when he was going to start dancing!
not a bad build but id take a ryzen 3800x and for personal use id still slap a gpu in there and take a different motherboard
Expensive cpu, expensive case, random rest
just the processor £1,049.99??? no thanks.
THE SMELL OF CORONA LOL
cries in pc enthusiast
do you really need that big of a cooler for that CPU chip, doesnt a AIO cooler does the job by also keeping the sixe of it small compared to this 4:24
Dio I just thought with all the new gear that you have purchased , have on loan, or have been given in exchange for your endorsements ? all which are wonderful
but for the many others out there who are scrapping by just trying to save enough to buy a plug_in for $50 quid. Perhaps you should remember to say thank you
to your many subscribers for all their support. As paying customers or simply daily viewers for without them you would be sad & lonely.
Please ! Just don’t forget them. I m happy for you & Dom’s success you’ve worked hard for it (or did you work with it hard )either way nest time you come to the USA. Feel free to contact me and we will feed you like the proper Italian people were are. Although were 2nd generation we never loose our Italian roots.
Remember the name America , just happens to be an Italian word I guess , no delete that , I know that makes America an Italian country as well . We just don’t always look or taste as good haha. The number one food eaten in America was Italian food for 85 90 years. Pizza still holds the number one spot followed by Taco’s . So we still keep everybody’s belly full. We love the show but the box openings ? Is kinda stupid with out including the spec’s otherwise it’s one of those ..snobby Hey look what I’ve got it’s for kids which were not. REthink that shit ok Love you beast wishes Rick Caruso
Those coolers must be quiet, the text tells them to :S
I can buy it
Be quiet… the best way to have 0 dB from system is to store it in another room … good quality wire (as long as your needs) cost almost nothing. 1 1/2 inche hole in a wall and you are done with fans noises even at maximum speeds. Keep your money for something else!
🤝🥰🥰🥰🥳🥳🥳🥳✌🏻✊🥇🎖🕺💃🏼🎹🥁🎸🍓🎤🧚♂️😀😉👍
you look like jonny depps
What audio interface do you use? 🙂
Sorry but the keyboard and mouse are not suitable for a DAW. I have owned Corsair keyboards before and they are only fit for the bin.
Only 8 cores? Why? A laptop can put out similar CPU performance. I figured if you’re going to get a desktop might as well go big.
I’m hoping to get some tips on a inexpensive home recording setup, quality audio, user friendly/easy to use. I’m looking at a HP 8100 PC desktop windows 10, 512GB SSD i5 CPU and 16GB RAM I’ve never been a computer guy and my knowledge of computers or programs is very minimal. I’ve heard Reaper is user friendly, I was thinking of getting a MacBook and also trying Logic untill I learned that Reaper has problems working with OSX. I’d be grateful to hear anyone’s opinions.
Backlit gaming keyboards go well with backlit drumpads
But can it run Crysis ?
Wye do you need a i9????????????
Cheaper to put together yourself if you don’t mind the small effort, I’ve been doing this for over 20 years now. If you can’t be bothered with ordering the parts etc, then by all means use companies like Scan etc but do not buy PC’s from places like PC World etc and expect decent performance!
Do they ship to u.s?
