IT recruiter here. If you want to save a pile of money and get an education at least as good as any of these schools…,and better than most IMO. I recommend Waterloo. Best program in Canada and heavily recruited by companies world wide.

Stanford is better than mit. Sorry not buying east coast bias and people stereotypes about both schools. If you work at top tech companies two colleges most represented is Stanford and Berkeley. Also for cs Stanford is right next to Silicon Valley which is a huge advantage as compared to mit. MIT is great obviously top 3 but Stanford > MIT for cs.
Rubbish Harvard is below average in engineering. While U.C. Berkeley should be on top. Do not ignore Caltech which is small but more creative than any of the schools you have mentioned.
It really doesn’t matter which school you go to. Just choose whatever gives you the most financial freedom. From there, you can apply for and participate in awesome programs and conferences for free that give you even better experience.
