Wouldn’t half life 2 be considered 7th generation? I mean, you couldn’t play it on ps2 or xbox.
Honestly really surprised that TImeSplitters 2 was not included, at least as an honorable mention.

I’d say that Dreamcast qualifies as a 6th generation console. And that puts Shenmue pretty high on the list.
3rd , 4th , 5th , and 6th were the best generations of all time so far imo. 5th is my all time favorite hands down.

I’m glad to see Metroid Prime this high on the list.
It was the great time for western developer to developed a game for proper PC platform and less piracy anyway. Thats why PC exclusive game were a thing too. Game like Half Life 2, Deus Ex, Far Cry, No One Lives Forever 2 and Doom 3 are great proper PC game ever released and didn’t got much pirated compare to Crysis. While, 7th gen was the last generation to AAA Game been developed for PC proper system like Crysis and The Witcher 1 and we never see any game that built up and developed for PC platform anymore because they are too worry for their game will being pirated just like what happened on Crysis.

You left out Red Faction 1… unacceptable. That was the new Goldeneye 007 multiplayer successor imo , I loved the geo mod destructibility.

What ever you say watchmojo, but gta san andreas it the best game of the 6th Generation! when you think about that this is one of the best open world games of all time and i think is should be higher on this list! and it’s still looks amazing back then! so you got it wrong.

Um, Shenmue. Sorry. You snubbed the Saturn completely in your Gen 5 video and now you snub the Dreamcast. And while you could definitely make an argument that no Saturn game makes a Gen 5 top 10 list, you can’t make that argument about Shenmue for Gen 6.
Shenmue is better than Metal Gear 3 and Shadow of the Colossus for sure. The others are fair to argue, but I’d put Shenmue at #8 at least!
Prince of pesia sot should have been in top 5 not honourable mentions
Violence the level of violence and lack of fun is what bombed in this generation gaming.
I’d say that the 16 bit era and the 6th gen were the golden ages of gaming.

Yet snake eater looks like mgs2 where mgs2 graphics far surpass mgs3 snake eater. And was a better game in my honest opinion.
