We Followed An Inmate to the Execution Chamber
We Followed An Inmate to the Execution Chamber
Oklahoma has the highest number of executions per capita of any state in the US. It’s executed 116 people over the last 50 years. We talked to an inmate about what it’s like to be sentenced to death, and to his brother about what it’s like to watch a loved one be executed.

Omg Can’t imagine what it felt like without tv for him also can’t imagine what the victims family feel like when they lose a family member
He makes it sound like Donald suffered. Good. He deserves to.
Dang
y’all really being way too sympathetic to a guy who killed and murdered somebody with a box knife and then killed their coworker too by shooting them not once but three times in the head. IN A ROBBERY WHERE NOBOY HAD TO BE KILLED NONETHELESS
The brother is another victim of this mans crime. Many people have poor parenting most don’t go onto murder two innocent women. Deserved.
this guy is like why did they serve food? They did because….lawyers. If you go in there and you later claim "they didn’t provide food or water for us!" that would become a legal issue. The prison isn’t trying to paint a picture like everything is good and dandy, they are giving you food and beverage because they have to
Feel bad for the helpless victims too. It’s a lose lose deal
It should only make you stronger to ne better the only sympathy is to the victims and their families
Who ever sentences a person to death shall also die…that’s how it should work. ..judge jurry everyone…that’s what America should be….
I feel awful for everyone. This guy did kill 2 young people that had their whole life ahead of them.
Too bad so sad.
All life is precious. Yes, tell that to the victims and their families. Life is what you make of it. Always finding excuses for certain behaviors or actions. Sorry, life is hard, bite the f@cking bullet, take ownership of your actions. Always putting blame on others. This inmate’s brother talking like they are the victims because of their circumstances growing up. And blaming Oklahoma state for taking his brother’s TV privileges. C’mon. Not once did he present empathy for the victims. He got what he deserved. Sorry. And this is not race related. It’s not about color, it’s about justice.
I was gonna feel sympathy for him but then I heard the part where the clerk gave him the money and he still killed them out of spite
No regard for human life so why should others have regard for his
He even admitted to being guilty so u can’t even really argue innocence
I think something should just wipe out all of humanity and then earth will flourish perfectly on its own
These people live their life’s without a thought for others, and end up asking others to care for them at the end.
I believe that we should not go down to these peoples level and make ourselves killers like them.
Lock them in a cell 24/7 with a television and forget about them.
Why didn’t his brother murder anybody?
This is so wrong. Execution is so long outdated. it goes against any moral stands and in the end nobody wins. I am ashamed for humanity that we to this day, did not manage to eradicate this „barbaric“ or maybe even „brutal“ way of penalizing somebody. I’m sorry if someone finds the words barbaric and brutal not befitting the context. I am German and after thinking about it for a while I think I found the right words which I meant to translate. I think executing inmates doesn’t help anybody and let me think of past events like the French Revolution. I know it’s a bad comparison but that’s just the way I feel. I’m hoping the majority of the people here are just as much against death penalty and saddened about it as I am and if there is someone out there who is not.. screw you.
Clickbait. Inmate was not followed.
There are no chairs in the room for the people that are going to witness his death. So if they are going to tell the story then they should get it right……
He murdered two innocent people in cold blood. Good riddance, murderer.
No sympathy to the killer, he got what he deserved. I feel bad for his brother and the victim’s family though. May they heal at least a bit.

Next life will be better ? Lol he will get his punishment either become wandering hungry ghost or in hell.
Many people with terrible childhoods don’t commit violent crimes. He strained one of the women in the neck. I don’t know how I feel about the death penalty. I really don’t. I go back and forth. I do know one thing, I don’t care. When I learn of the crimes, I stop caring.
I just think the level.of.anxiety i get for something small like being called in my boss’s office…imagine being escorted to your deathbed!
My girlfriend’s best friend was beaten and sexually abused by both her parents, he now leads a life as normal as he can, he works as a clerk on a store, he had some romantic relationships, and of course he struggles with the scars of his past, but he managed to be a good person, there are thousands of people with a traumatic past that took his same path. So NO, being abused as a child is no excuse to do any harm to others, this guy is fully responsible for his actions and got what he deserved.
Glad people like this are out of this world
Misleading headline….
He didn’t die the way his victims did. He didn’t get shot 3 times in the face. He didn’t suffer in the transition from life to death.
His brother seemed to have turned out fine. No excuses for this heinous crime. Life is tough coming from a broken home no doubt. But you can always get a job flipping burgers at Mickie Dees. No need to rob and steal and murder innocent people
It isn’t always the father’s who are to blame for how their children turn out.
I feel sorry for the victims and the victims families who continue to deal with the loss everyday of their loved ones.
Nothing justifies killing two innocent, Stop justifying his crimes. I have been struggled and abused throughout my life but I have yet to kill a fly. It is disgusting to blame your mother. efing narcisist
I can understand a brother being upset about his brother’s execution. But the victim’s family is ‘upset’ too.
And Donald Grant didn’t ‘kill to eat’ as he maintains. He killed for bail money for his girlfriend. I’m a fairly hardened guy, but killing for bail money is one of the most trivial and pointless murders ever. Grant earned his way to the execution chamber, no matter how hard his childhood was.
Proverbs 18:21
“The tongue has the power of life and death.” The stakes are high. Your words can either speak life, or your words can speak death. Our tongues can build others up, or they can tear them down… PARENTS PLEASE SPEAK LIFE INTO YOUR CHILDREN🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
nice
America is a third world country
His victims paid with their lives and I could care less if he had to sit there without a tv.
So sad
Lol , no more watermelon for him
You are a very brave man for sharing your experience , I’m very sorry for your brothers life being taken at the hands of our government and for the pain you have suffered.
he didn’t even get to live
STOP SAVING EVIL PEOPLE, SATAN SAID SO
My mommy beat me. So i shot a woman in the face 3 times. Feel for me.
He needed love and rehabilitation not death by execution at the hand of the state. An eye for an eye will make the world blind
Donald’s crimes were horrible, but the state simply does not have the right to kill its own citizen. It is a barbaric and inhumane action, one which violates and contradicts this nation’s supposed commitment to Justice.
