Does your resolution make a difference of how clear your image is when you zoom in?

Does having a good graphic card help with clear image when you zoom in?

If I’m looking for a tv to as a monitor should I be looking as the resolution it supports?

As someone light sensitive are there TV that I can dim them way down without bad image?

I have a question on the monitor. My mom has macular degeneration. I got her a new pc and 27" LED monitor Hi def. Do you find the larger4k monitor a better choice for vision? Any difference between the 4k monitors for PC and 4k smart tv?

Great videos Sam, and I really enjoy watching them and will continue to do so. I’m someone with zero vision and was wondering if you know other blind YouTubers similar to me? I’m only wondering because I’d like a perspective that is similar to me. Many thanks hope your stay safe

Good day, I love accessibility tech, it allows allot of creativity and inclusivity within the accessibility community. Android and Apple always announce updates every year to there OS, it would be great if you can creat videos about what new updates are available for mobile devices. I watch most of the well known tech YouTubers and they almost never talk about all the amazing accessibility updates, they would mention a couple of things but never in depth on the possibilities of the accessibility updates. What do you think about that?

  7. Cezar Ciucium on June 3, 2022 at 4:24 pm

Hi! I need a solution for this kind of situation – I usually watch video tutorials where the mouse cursor is too small or the contrast is unsatisfactory! It takes me a long time to find it! Is there a program that encircles the object on the screen that I need? Thanks!

  8. AN ODYSSEY OF STEVEN on June 3, 2022 at 4:24 pm

    Hey Sam.

Thank you!! Thank you!! I’ve been wanting for a long time to hear about the specs of your computer that you built yourself. I did see the video where you and your son built the computer but I didn’t get all the specs. So thank you so much for this awesome video.

By the way, could you put in a say a n Vita graphics card in the setup that you have so that you could play computer games? Also what is the name of the mount that you have your TV mounted on? I have a 46 inch screen TV that I am actually thinking of you know getting like you said a mount. I too have a Samsung Smart TV and even though it’s about 12 years I think old, it’s still runs great.

Again thanks Sam for this awesome video. I even shared it with a friend of mine who also is looking for a building a computer for himself. He is also blind and likes to do video editing and YouTube videos and stuff like that. So this video is definitely perfect for him.

I wanted to do a follow up on the keyboard and I really like it. The keys have a short travel. I hate the tall keys that slow you down to type. I would recommed a wrist pad that combained is sweet. Time to bury the Keysusee. Miles better.

  10. Kevin H. Self on June 3, 2022 at 4:28 pm

I tried a backlit keyboard, but since I have RP, it wasn’t great for me. I ended up going with a high contrast keyboard. nothing special, but easier for me to see. https://amzn.to/32zaXk0

  11. BooBoo BangBang on June 3, 2022 at 4:28 pm

Again, thanks so much for this vid. It’s helping this “one viewer” a lot. Appreciate what all you put into this vid.

  12. Terry Sutherland on June 3, 2022 at 4:30 pm

Why do you chose a TV and not a monitor?
How many of each kind of port on the motherboard?
What’s the maximum resolution the graphics card will drive?
Well, mechanical drives have their place… What brand of drive(s) did you get and why? Why didn’t you do a RAID set for the system drive? Did you partition the drive to optimize seek latency? (Yes, I know the answer)
16 GB of RAM is overkill. 32 is wasteful unless you’re gaming.
Did you setup Windows in any particular way, and why? Did you use a swap file, or not? If sho, why and how big?
What is your internet connectivity on that machine?
Howmany of which kinds of ports are on the back and front?
How did you choose to coo the CPU? Why?
That’s all the "top-of-my-head" questions. Take your time.

Love your videos. As I do some and some gaming and I built my own computer as well which is fun to do. I building a new desk as I also want to use either a 43 or 50 Tv.

  14. George Stokes on June 3, 2022 at 4:32 pm

you lost me at the keyboard. i could never build my own pc

  15. Richard Weaver on June 3, 2022 at 4:35 pm

TOTALY surprised by this video! By happy accident I am using a Samsung 43 inch Smart TV as a monitor as well as a smart TV for streaming servives, we use the same keyboard. My PC and mouse are out of the box with a stanrd laser mouse and a HP PC with a 500 gig HD and 3TB external running the normal version of WIN 10. My question to you is which screen reader you are using? I have access to Jaws 2018 but prefer NDVA for the respoonse time using the mouse. Love the goodies you demonstrate and wish I could find a way to try out wearable magnifiers here in southern California.

  16. GloriaNak on June 3, 2022 at 4:35 pm

The beard is on point! Looking good Sam. 🙂

  17. Edward Matarazzo on June 3, 2022 at 4:36 pm

I bought the keyboard. I am wounding about the travel on the keys and what do you think about it so far? I probly should of asked this befor i clicked on the buy button. I plan to use it for the raspberry pi 4. Have you tried using the Pi yet. Raspien has a screen reader called orca. but I cant find info for any of the shortcut keys.

  18. Edward Matarazzo on June 3, 2022 at 4:39 pm

For me I have a 27" monitor on a arm. I personally think its to big for me because I have to be really up and close. I have to always reaajust the arm and to be a strain on the neck.

Hello Sam. Seeing your video I noticed that we use a lot of the same hardware. I am a lefty and I use the same Logitech mouse with no difficulties at all. Nice video. 👍

  20. Tabitha Jackson on June 3, 2022 at 4:41 pm

I use a Dell 15 inch laptop that is connected to a Samsung 32 inch monitor/TV via HDMI. I also use a wired Logitech keyboard and a gaming mouse.

    Hey, Sam
I speak from Brazil. I really like your videos and even more the positive energy of life, that you spend, despite all the difficulties around.
I was hit by a motorcycle and lost a sight last year at the age of 68. In the other view that remains, I have glaucoma. I have many blind spots, around my central vision which is good. I am happy to see and write, as I am doing now. Strong hug, from a Brazilian!

    Hi Sam,
I am very new to your channel. Just saw one of your videos regarding IRA vision while surfing some Blind related YouTube channels. I liked your video so much that I went on to watch a few more of your creations and also subscribed to your channel. You are really doing a splendid job by sharing your knowledge.
As for me, I am a 100% VIP, a banker by profession and belong to the country India. I require one support from you or any of the members reading my post. I want to know about some YouTube channels or internet blogs related to tutorials on advance MS Excel, PowerPoint with use of JAWs Screen reader. Are you aware of any such channels or sites?

Hey Sam! Fellow Stargartian here. So my computer is like 16 years old haha. I am hoping to start a Youtube cooking channel soon and I am not tech savvy at all. I still type with my 2 pointer fingers haha Would you recommend building a PC or just buying one for me upgrading so I can use it for editing videos?

  28. Dave Hodges on June 3, 2022 at 4:52 pm

personally I did away with the mouse five years ago and have moved over to this Kensington Expert Wireless Trackball Mouse (K72359WW). works like a charm. properly setup. it’s very hard to lose track of the cursor. add to that you have 4 programmable buttons. and works great for right or left hand as every button can be programmed and has a scroll ring around the ball. my only complaint in 5 years and this has only started in the last two or so months is the scroll ring will catch about once every other week. and to fix that you turn the ring back the other way a click or two and good to go again. good video!

  29. Live Accessible on June 3, 2022 at 4:52 pm

Hey Sam, this is awesome! Pablo and I just ordered a new computer off of digital storm, but because of you know what, it’s taking WAYY too long… we went with intel. Pablo is on team blue. lol. I really don’t know and I’re sure both are totally fine, but what I did hear is that ryzen works better for gaming and editing (though some people argue that…) ryzen can have some comparability issues with office and productivity apps and needs more tinkering…

You won’t believe what I’m using to edit now… yes, it’s an i7, but with an integrated graphics card, and like 8gb ram. It has gotten a heavy beating and really needs replacing.

You know, jaws, zoomtext, fusion, magnifier, etc, need a lot more power than just an average computer from walmart… and the things is some people don’t realize that and expect a pentium with 2gb ram to run well with AT software… you should totally do a video on something like that!

Have you seen LLT? (Linus Tech Tips) It would be awesome to have a company ship all these different comptuers with different specs and see which runs better with AT software!

Hey Sam! Thank you so much for this video! I do have a question though. What do you recommend as far as computers go for someone who is just getting into owning a computer? I am on board with the Samsung monitor, but I am not skilled enough in computers to build my own computer. I love the mouse and keyboard you mentioned in this video also, what do you recommend as far as the Computer tower? Literally not even sure if that’s the right word. Hopefully you get the jest. Lol

  34. Minh Tang on June 3, 2022 at 5:00 pm

I use the Logitech G502. more responsive compared to the Master 2s. I have both. A reason I would recommend a gamer mouse over Logitech Master 2s is the onboard memory. Mapping buttons using a software is okay but once in a while there could be a conflict and it cause a hick up here and there. Using the onboard memory, the macro that you program are sent directly from the mouse. Yes the mouse is sending the keyboard key press. I use both a Mac and a PC over a KVM. I can switch profile for zoom command between the two with one button press on the mouse.

Hey Sam from James one of your VIP viewers. Loved your Custom PC video. Being a IT grad and gaming junkie thinks your system is the bomb for editing. Yes you will wanna upgrade the GTX 1050T in the future since I have to same card in my Gaming Laptop and after 4 yrs is starting to crash heavy games like DOOM, MK11, Tomb Raider, and other main staples for 2020. Have a great week. James from Chicago, IL jamesnlathouris@gmail.com @heavymetal10476

I have just discovered your videos. I am currently building a system for my sister. Her husband recently suffered a double stroke which left him visually impared. I am trying to build a system that would cater for his needs if we can get him motivated to get back to it. So thank you so much for taking the time to make this.

Thanks for the video. It’s given me alot to think about when setting up my system. Given the work from home situation I had to bring my work laptop home currently running zoom text but I’ve had a ton of performance issues. Any suggestions for other zoom apps?

Hi Sam, tx for your video with all of your specs. ❤ your 32 RAM. You’re inspiring me to dump my laptop and do a custom build.

I bought my Sammy 32-inch TV (used as my monitor too) and Note 5 phone for the blacker blacks. At the time, found I couldn’t beat those for contrast, easy on my eyes. By chance, have you found any 28 or 32-inch Sammy TVs that have 4k? Time to upgrade!

Also, I’m using a Logitech wireless mouse. Do you you find the wired mice to be less laggy/more responsive?
