I have the netgear and it is absolutely crazy. Amazingly good and getting a signal on the 3rd floor up to 500mb! well worth the money. Its important to test out areas in the house where you get overall best connection. Is there a new Netgear router coming out soon? Curious to know!

Dope reviews, I’ve heard a lot about micro center and now I definitely have to check it out

  9. AJ Williams on January 12, 2022 at 1:35 am

Chris, while I appreciate your videos. Numbers and charts are good, but I ask that you focus on Reliability and connection for routers. I have purchased the Asus AX11000 router and though it is fast, 2.4 constantly drops out, the 5ghz also drops out and it sometimes works with my Google devices and my Sonos and most of the time does not. Just not a very reliable router. I have recently updated to the Amplifi Alien and it is a night and day difference. Just to give it a strong comparison, I completely reset the AX11000 and started over, the Alien still blows it out of the water.

So if I play on west coast servers and friends on East which router do you think works for me to stop experiencing latency

  11. Bron on January 12, 2022 at 1:38 am

Fantastic vid. TY. Just got the TP-Link for $220 … Might not be the best on this test but that’s a damn good price and I get an extended electronics warranty w/costco…win win? we’ll see.

  14. ImHereLive on January 12, 2022 at 1:42 am

I wasted so much money on the ASUS GT-AX11000… thinking the 2.5g port would actually be good for something… until we start seeing routers with multiple 2.5g and/or 5ge ports, we’re getting bamboozled by them all…

  15. ya. boii jj fish on January 12, 2022 at 1:44 am

So these gaming routers are the same as Xfinity ones right ( I mean the monthly subscription) I have to pay a month for the wifi correct ?

  18. mnlead on January 12, 2022 at 1:50 am

do you need any of these if you use wired?

  19. Ryan Raynor on January 12, 2022 at 1:50 am

Thank you Chris! With all the crap videos out there this one is great. Yes, it was "sponsored" but it was loaded with detailed "seemingly" unbiased and tested practical data. On point succinct conclusions and explanations. I’m trying to find either a router and a modem or a router modem combo that will increase my speed and lower my latency of my wifi for specifically for use with my Oculus Quest 2. Xfinity (Comcast) is my only choice as a provider and they cant seem to increase my speed with consistency (after numerous visits) and blame it all on the limitations and speed capabilities of my devices. I am using their provided Gateway (modem router combo currently the XB6 and have had the XB7). Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

  20. SyCannon on January 12, 2022 at 1:51 am

Jeez you get better internet speeds outside your house compared to my speeds 10 feet away from my router lmao. I hate my ips lol

  21. Johnny Flores on January 12, 2022 at 1:52 am

Anybody out there have any suggestions on a cable modem that would work well with one of these routers?

  22. Aiinz on January 12, 2022 at 1:53 am

Do I need a modem to use it alongside these routers?

TP AX1100 looks like a Slow overpriced POS FAIL!

  27. ismael jaime on January 12, 2022 at 1:58 am

As of Jan 3rd 2022 I’m seeing the TP Link AX11000 for a variety of prices.

    Amazon 256.88 (sold by TechNGnet)
    Walmart 314.95
    Best Buy 399.99

I don’t know whats causing the discrepancy in pricing but based on descriptions they seem to be legit. (You verify if you buy). But could be a sweet deal if you are looking for a great bang for the buck.

I just moved out, got to say if if I didn’t already have an Asus router I plan to mesh with the ROG11000, the TP Link AX11000 is what I would get.

  28. Hendizel on January 12, 2022 at 1:59 am

  29. David Bravo on January 12, 2022 at 2:00 am

Would I still need to buy a modem with this too or is it a router modem combo?

  30. Typer 2 on January 12, 2022 at 2:00 am

So is it definitely worth it to upgrade from cable router to gaming?

  34. DJ Elevate USA on January 12, 2022 at 2:06 am

And you should NEVER use 160 MHz channels … you’re bound to run into interference… unless there is literally no one around you.

  35. Filipe Hypólito on January 12, 2022 at 2:07 am

How could you get upload speeds of 900+ with the Netgear Nighthawk??? Mine is doing 120…130 at most. I have a 300 mbps up and down link and I was doing 300 mbps upload speeds with a Calix U4 router. Actually, the Nighthawk does 300 mbps upload speed with the ethernet cable plugged. But the wifi doesn’t work the same. It just do awesome speeds for download. The upload caps at 100 to 130 mbps. I’ve tried almost every possible configuration. Do you have any advices?! Thanks!

  36. DJ Elevate USA on January 12, 2022 at 2:09 am

Lol I love how we act like QoS is new. This has been around forever. Just people don’t know what it is or how it’s used

  37. Snoop Wavy on January 12, 2022 at 2:09 am

I have a wireless WiFi with xfinity will a good gaming router help my internet

  38. Jonathan on January 12, 2022 at 2:09 am

So, it creates its own Wi-Fi or does it make the existing Wi-Fi stronger? If neither, please explain. My college Wi-Fi for gaming sucks and I want to know if this will help

  39. VersaillesSunGod - on January 12, 2022 at 2:12 am

So I tend to have the best and newest stuff. I have to RMA the AXE11000 because it’s firmware is horrible, it continues to drop wifi. Got me thinking, I’ve had all ASUS routers and each hand failed within a year. Thanks for the video, getting night hawk today.

  40. Andy Dainty on January 12, 2022 at 2:13 am

Interesting results but the Netgear XR1000 is their "Pro Gaming" router, which would have been a better comparison to the Asus and its cheaper.

  41. Applying Pressure Everyday on January 12, 2022 at 2:14 am

Aye bro I appreciate the video fr but after purchasing the router for ~$250, is there a monthly price we have to pay to any service for connection or does the router just get the connection on its own after installation and set up, and we only have to purchase it? Im a 21-year-old living in my first home bro the feedback it highhhhly appreciated. 🙏🏿

  42. Peter L on January 12, 2022 at 2:15 am

Hello, can you tell me what the difference is between the RT AX86U and the RT AX86S?

  43. Luck ッ on January 12, 2022 at 2:16 am

probably a dumb question but do you have to pay a monthly fee?

  44. WC on January 12, 2022 at 2:18 am

Can you please make a video to compare TP-Link AX11000 and Netgear RAXE450 (AXE10000), especially for the range and performance? Thanks!

  45. jordan ryan on January 12, 2022 at 2:19 am

So are you using smart connect and letting the router decid which frequencies to use?

  46. Kerollos Metyis on January 12, 2022 at 2:20 am

Would you be able to talk about the setup of the winner ASUS for the gaming features? Would definitely appreciated all the bells and whistles for that router.

  47. GageGotMulk on January 12, 2022 at 2:23 am

En mi opinion los router de antenas son mejores que los routers modernos que nos asigna Spectrum lo digo por mi servicio

  49. Mark Harris on January 12, 2022 at 2:27 am

Chris, how about a video on the best mesh systems. It is well and good to do do testing on individual routers, but mesh is increasingly important in order to distribute access throughout our homes.

  50. Chris Maya on January 12, 2022 at 2:27 am

So does this boost internet speed I have horrible internet with at&t about 10mbs would these routers boost it. I’m tired of taking 1 day to download a 30mb game
