Selling drugs to prisoners seems kind of mercenary. If pot were legal there how much would a joint be? This seems to be a private prison and no telling how much the man is making. The private prison system seems a terrible idea because the less services they provide the more money they make.
i bet mr. mosley was dealing with a struggling heroine addict that was going thro relapse and when it was over the person was breaking down just wanting a cig… incarcerated people are humans and we should treat them as such with plans of helping them get back into society. not expect them to change because they were caged. a wild dog stays feral if you leave it in a cage.
Well at least these look safe for the old ‘prison wallet’

I personally would’ve asked for his resignation if he had made a product that sells exclusively in the same place he works if being ethical even mattered when you consider what a conflict of interest this is to people who pay to use this product in jail.

As someone who was been to county several times, i wouldnt care if they were exploiting me for profit via ecigs. Theyre already exploiting you for profit with or without ecigs, thats the nature of the prison system.

its actually proven in studies that people with mental health issues and some disorders are a lot calmer with the use of nicotine. I think they should provide pot too and really crack down on the hard narcotics coming in.

Exploiting inmates is what prisons do best, especially privatized prisons. It’s a billion dollar industry. They make roughly $150 per inmate per day at base level. If they pick up labor contracts then they make more. There’s rarely any real focus on reform and Rehabilitation they want the revolving doors, the three strike lifers, and they love the war on drugs. No doubt he’s well liked by some for getting nicotine back in the prison but look at the price mark up they put on a highly addictive substance. He’s no less scummy than corner street dope man.
