Jumping on the Region-Free Train: Testing Region-Free UHD Blu-Ray Player from 220 Electronics.

I wanted a region-free player that could play 4K UHD discs, 3D Blu-Rays, and all regions of Blu-Ray and DVD. After hearing good things, I purchased a player that checked all the boxes from a company called 220 Electronics. How does it work?

Thanks for the video, just decided to dip my toes into the region free world…. Also because of that beautiful Dawn of the Dead set. I am also bummed I didn’t do it earlier as I agree there’s a lot of sets i missed out on. A whole new world for us, have fun!!

Thanks for the review! I’ve been looking in purchasing a region free 4K player from 220 electronics as well and is currently still debating. Quick question, is the HDMI cable included from 220 for the player or you had to get a new cable? I think I heard 4K players uses a different HDMI cable compared to the standard blu ray players. I could be wrong.

Would a 4K UHD Blu-ray player work with a monitor or is a TV a must?

I find the difference from BD to 4k can be huge.. when you compare the correct things. BluRay disks have a huge range of transfer quality.

I’m looking into getting a region free player as well, theres just so many and hard to know which one to pick. I might go with one that has 4k for eventually getting a 4k tv as well. I’m in Canada though so want to make sure these players work haha don’t want to have to return it in states.

I just came across your channel tonight and I was impressed. the movies you mentioned, are either the ones I have on the shelf or really own (that DOTD looks amazing) except the F13 boxset. I’ve had an all region BluRay player for years and it actually was from 220 and they’ve always a trusted site, but I’m lookin into a all region 4K player. What was the name of the Blu Ray player???! Thanks 😊

I bought the UBKM9 version and no matter how hard I press the number 2 button, still can’t play Region B disks. Do you know what can I do? 🙁

I have that same player it’s great but you have to attach an ethernet cable to it for wifi it’s not wireless that’s my only complaint

Thanks I wasn’t too sure which one I should get. I’ll probably just get the same one. I recently bought some uk arrow video movies and without realizing it 3 out of 4 of the movies I got are region b locked lol. It works out anyways cause I’ve been wanting to get a 4k player anyways. Currently I’ve been using my Xbox one to watch Blu Ray on. Since this one is pretty affordable I might be able to upgrade to a 4k tv this year too. I’ve been good at buying a 4k version that comes with a Blu Ray a good amount of the time so I already have a decent little 4k collection.
I recently got into watching Michael Keene’s videos ever since I found his Friday the 13th videos he put out last month
