This is a shockingly well made short film. The editing, the pacing, the tight logical script, the colour palette, and the whole sequence with the kid lost in himself and in the world (it reminds me of ‘Lion’), Brilliant stuff!! Kudos to the team! Btw those nitpicking on him "doing something in life without maths", HUMANITIES/ARTS FOR FUCKS SAKE! And those that say that the daughter and the father getting on with the maths is unnecessary, to them, observe closely, the man has had a huge emotional baggage on him all his life due to maths, it is his fear, it is his way of getting back to his own father, and it is absolutely logical for him to pass through the gates he ran away from, earlier in his life.
I love maths…maths is easy for those who write and learn

I got disappointed when I see this ad. Seriously the father had to prove his forte in math to his father??? I call it BS. Look at the father, he is still so well off even after he failed at math, probably much more well off than students who topped in math in his class. That means he did something very commendable at some point of time (established a startup or joined some respectable MNC or establishing an empire on any other stream he chose to work in) that he is now well-settled. But his father is still pissed, why? Because he sucked at math and failed the paper at a distant past. Are you kidding me? Is this what father-son relationships have come to? Breaking relationships because of stupid MATH? If you were a maths teacher and your son failed in the paper that means YOU failed in teaching and failed to remove his phobia of maths, or YOU birthed the phobia in him by attempting to make him perfect in math.
Guys, do what you are good in. If you are not good at something, you will surely find other things which you are good at. If you are a parent, stop reprimanding your children for what they can’t do instead of appreciating what they CAN.
