Most of this recent games have terrible art direction, barely any color variety because the liberal use of filters which blends every object into a generic clay looking mess. And then you also have that horrible looking modern CoD game that lacks any cohesive art style so it looks like a mishmash of assets made to impress the average 15 year old. Guy who made the list has zero fucking clue about art direction.

Shadow of the tomb raider was motion captured not hand animated, 90% of games now are mocapped because it’s easier
The games in the 90s looked like a cartoon some of the games now in 2020 do look like photographs
we are talking about graphics ok but gameplay of battlefield 1942 and batlefield 5 cannot compare
those games today have graphic thats all like movies with vfx
but no story naive gameplay and 2 easy for children
