When it comes to giant retailers, Walmart is a cut above the rest. It is the largest private employer in the US. And its annual revenue is in the hundreds of billions. That’s the budget of a small European country. But not everything is rosy for the large corporation. No company wants anything out there that would tarnish its image. So let’s uncover 10 Secrets Walmart Doesn’t Want You To Know (Part 2).

SUMMARIES:
– The first fact about Walmart relates to the owners. Understandably this is one nugget the wealthy family wouldn’t like to get around. But it’s not exactly a secret that the Waltons own the large retailer which makes them the richest family in the world.
– That was a dark start. So let’s turn our attention to something that would benefit you if you shop at Walmart. It’s about bread. We all love the smell of fresh bread. But living in a city makes the chance of seeing fresh bread coming out of the oven as rare as spotting a unicorn strolling down Times Square.
– We’ve talked before about big corporations running overseas sweatshops and sometimes utilizing child labor to cut down on costs and increase their profit. A quick Google search will yield plenty of scandals of this type. But what’s new here is that you don’t need to go overseas to find cheap labor.
– We mentioned that if you know where to look you can find a loaf of bread selling for one dollar at Walmart. Luckily there’s no cheap labor involved here and the low prices are part of a marketing campaign to attract customers.
– We all try to love and respect the police. From a distance, that is. Nobody likes to have a cop tailing them. On the road, a police car is always better ahead of you than behind you. This is not a reflection of a guilty conscience.
– This is one nifty trick that many people may not know about and will save you a lot of money and time while you’re shopping. If you like to shop online, you’ll be pleased to know that Walmart delivers your purchases to your home free of charge.
– One of the best things about Walmart is that it allows you to keep the change on your coupon. Say you have a $10 coupon and you made a purchase for $8.35, that leaves you with $1.65. Walmart will let you keep that dollar, 65 cents and use it in future shopping.
– This is definitely a secret that Walmart wouldn’t want you to know about. It has to do with the price tag code the company uses. When you see a new item on the shelf such as a lamp or toaster, you might be tempted to buy it before it gets picked by other customers.
– This is definitely a secret that Walmart wouldn’t want you to know about. It has to do with the price tag code the company uses. When you see a new item on the shelf such as a lamp or toaster, you might be tempted to buy it before it gets picked by other customers. But that’s not usually a good idea.
– As we mentioned before, not all big corporations are evil. And not all their marketing strategies are aimed at snaring the customers and fleecing them. Certainly not this one, which is a good practice by the giant retailer.

They do have profit sharing and their wages are very competitive. If they could get more money else where why wouldn’t the employees go there.

Can you guys do a story on why Walmart pulled pink lemonade (Kool-Aid & Country Time) from their shelves and only sell it online for $50 for one f’ing packet?!?!?!

I tried to buy a can of Country Time at the store and an error popped up when I scanned it. The clerk took it from me and said "Why are they still putting this on the selves?! We’re not supposed to sell this anymore!"

There were 20 f’ing cans on the shelves, so there’s obviously no shortage!!!

Even Amazon sells the sh¡t at $33 for one f’ing packet!!! Most of the other flavors are at the same 25¢/packet, so why only pink lemonade?!?!?!

Oh I already know about that, Walmart! Youze been owned by the Walton family. And no, NOT THAT WALTON FAMILY!

  14. Uncle Keith on December 10, 2021 at 10:34 am

I’ve got a better way to save money for groceries. Go to your local store. STOP GOING TO WALMART!

  15. Vic H on December 10, 2021 at 10:35 am

Walmart has had a monopoly over grocery stores for a long time. As soon as they expanded from their home location. Like McDonald’s. People don’t want to do to fast food places but they do because it’s cheap but unfortunately these companies love to cut corners to maintain wealth. It’s ALL about greedy. How can we pay our employees less, how can we cut costs on the food… That’s not capitalism. That’s communism.

  17. Lil Chelle on December 10, 2021 at 10:38 am

Last month I sent the BBB a report on Walmart. Walmart never responded. The local manager lied not only to corporate but lied to me saying Ive tried numerous times to call you (via email). Uh yeh, no ya havent. I have caller id on 3 devices and even if one is messed up all 3 surely arent. Anyway the reason for the complaint was after paying $10 for pistachios when I was getting close to the bottom of the bag I felt something weird. So I looked down into the bag and a smoked cigarette butt was inside the bag. I looked over the bag and found a very hard to see razor cut. Thats just nasty to start with but the fact covid is rampant here is worse. When I walk through the store nothing is in stock even stuff other stores are getting that theres not a shortage on and I have found many many items half eaten, canned drinks still in 6pk but one empty, opened mask boxes, missing cans of beer, etc. They changed managers not long ago and the new manager SUCKS!!!!!!! We have never had this problem before and nobody at this store does anything but talk on their cell phones, stand outside near the door smoking chatting up friends in the store when there are about 80 people in line behind them.

Walmart isn’t totally inhumane toward their Chinese slave laborers. They occasionally do give them 2 days off when they have an organ harvested.

  19. Slim Chism on December 10, 2021 at 10:39 am

These are so dumb ? I mean what are prisoners in prison for ? Why is it bad that they work cheap as hell for big corps on farms etc , I mean I would be flabergasted if they didn’t cut every corner they r able too

The only time I go to Walmart is to steal stuff to sell on ebay. I don’t care about the multi billion dollar company and the way they treat ppl so I will go in every day and steal thousands a week because they could care less of I can pay my bills so why should I pay for the hundreds of dollars of merchandise I get daily.

Any adult person who follows news knows that Wal Mart is a family originated business. This is public information. I will credit them for raising wages significantly over the past year or so. Can’t speak to overseas exploitation. This is news to me that I’ll research. Apple employees dive from high floors in Asia; this is widely reported.

DONT TAKE THINGS THAT ARENT YOURS. It affects the wages of the people working in that store. The info here is pretty uninformed as a former retail manager. I have no connection or love for Wal Mart.

  30. Darth Rubik on December 10, 2021 at 10:52 am

Your communist trash has no place in society. Either work for the wage you agreed to or get out.

  31. davidhunternyc on December 10, 2021 at 10:53 am

Elitist, militant capitalists galvanize their bases too. For instance, the talking head, Ben Shapiro, pontificates that "capitalism" (a term he refuses to define) is the best, most equitable form of government. When Ben Shapiro says "socialism" he means social welfare. In a true capitalist society, businesses, banks, and corporations should rise and fall on their own, without government intervention. We all know this isn’t how a capitalist society works. If businesses, banks, and corporations fail they turn to the government for bailouts. This is simply social welfare for the rich in the guise of "quantitative easing." The people in charge of the Fed come from private sector big banks. The fox is guarding the henhouse. While workers are forced to pay taxes, laws are written for the rich to evade taxes. Again, while most people think socialism is social welfare, real socialism focuses on workers, on the laborers who work for those people who own the capital. Real socialism means that workers share in the profits of those that own capital. Socialism emphasizes the well being of the many over the riches of the few. Under real socialism we would not have billionaires. All boats would be lifted and not one class would be able to subjugate another.

The United States is an "exploitative capitalist" country. We love preying on our own. One of the worst offenders is Walmart. Take the three Walmart kids, Rob, Jim, and Alice Walton. They, by way of nepotism, inherited the company and are worth a combined $235 billion. Let’s put things in perspective. If you won a $1 billion lottery, that’s equivalent to $50,000 a year X 20,000 years. Walmart could pay all 565,000 U.S. employees in the company $100,000 a year in perpetuity, and it will not affect the Walton family’s wealth whatsoever. In fact, the Walton’s will still get billions of dollars richer. Walmart grossed $550 billion last year. Paying all 565,000 employees $100,000 a year would cost Walmart $56 billion a year. Payroll would be 1/10 of their yearly gross. This is data. Ad hominem attacks will not dispell facts. Arguments in support of the rich do not work anymore. Every worker, who built and sustains Walmart deserves to share in the profits of Walmart. This is real socialism.

crooked companies are not killing America and the world as much as the APATHY of all the people. If we as a people cared any more then NO ONE would buy any of their products and they would all go out of business within a month. the simple action of boycott and strikes can drive companies into the ground just as fast as the number of customers who simply stop buying their products. Which by the very nature of the crimes the giant companies commit we are just as guilty for paying them to continue. Apathy makes us all accomplices. and there is no sugar coating that statement.
