What bugs me about Best Buy is that you look at phones and they NEVER have the actual price easily visible on the display….it’s always "per month" or "with trade in" or when you "sign up" for whatever…Best Buy please just post the damn price of your stuff on the display. Very shady.

I disagree with the tv one. Definitely get a warranty if you’re getting an expensive tv. Bought one last year that crapped out randomly. Bought the two year warranty, and they came to our house n fixed it. Been working great since.

I walked into a Best Buy on Halloween about 15 years ago, fresh back from a deployment overseas & bought an Xbox 360, the matching Pioneer audio setup, & then told this blue M&M, "I’ll tell you what, instead of the Monster cables, I’ll buy your store brand stuff & a couple games too if you can hook me up with an additional discount on top of my military discount." And that’s how I got HDMI & audio cables for free.

Bestbuy credit will rip you off even if payed in full before the end of 12 months . Dell credit will rip you off at the beginning. Giving you the payment details and then after you make your first payment they will send you a different account number and payment form that shows you havent made the first payment
I use to destroy them when they price matched with 10% of the difference. 😜
# 4 you are way off. Warranties are great to get on everything. Anything that’s massed produced it’s always good to get a warranty. Manufacturers warranties are limited and don’t cover power surges and other stuff and only lasts about a year.

Everything he is saying is true but I don’t agree with not getting the protection. That protection plan can save u from spending a lot more money when the product fails, it can be fixed or replaced, great video
As an associate from Best Buy you got some things right and some wrong one big thing is the protection has got to be the most useful thing and people will tend to come back within months with their broken products that the store will choose not to do anything about because they chose to not want the protection it’s always better to be safe than sorry
Amazon has an excellent trade in program for its electronics. I have saved hundreds over the past few years!

I am going to Best Buy tomorrow. I got a lemon I phone from a T- Mobil store. After jerking me around for two months I called Apple. They said It was the phone and I didn’t have to go to the next county over, to an Apple store, Best Buy would make the exchange. You would think T-mobil or their help line would have told me. Best Buy👍🏼 T -Mobil 👎🏻

I don’t agree with you on Geek Squad protection plan. I work at Best buy and let me get the facts for you. Firstly we don’t work on commission. Secondly things like Tvs sometimes have software upgrades and they might have tv issues. The manufacturers wouldn’t help you with it so we just want to save our customers money and you would get in home service with geek squad protection. Also for appliances you would get same service, which is why we sell Geek Squad protection plan.

The protection plan cover blackouts brown outs yes you aren’t gonna drop it but it’s gonna get fried. This dude doesn’t know anything
Geek squad protection plan actually has been changed over the years the new plan is that if something happens they junk it out and give you the full retail value back. Meaning if you buy a clearance laptop for $400 that was $800 and 3 years later it breaks. You get the $800 the laptop normally costs. That way you can buy a new one with out having to find another clearance model. I buy Geek Squad on everything I buy there
You do know the protection plan covers the price of the product on a Store credit…. If its deemed a junkout…. Please don’t tarnish the brand

Toshiba/Insignia/Dynex are owned by Best Buy. Also best chance to negotiate is end of the month or week after holiday. Also tell them you’ll apply for a credit card if they take 10-15% off the purchase/protection plan. Especially on purchases over $5000 and ESPECIALLY at small stores. Don’t expect negotiations at super stores.
Some of the tips are pretty good. Price match is awesome. Probably won’t work well with Costco though. Managers will work on prices if they need to hit a goal that day and are behind. Your logic behind protection plans is wrong. If your product breaks 4 years down the road, you don’t get a replacement. You get a store credit for the value of your product when it was new. Good call outs on the Elite statuses, big benefits.

As a former employee, they’ve changed the truck dates to Monday, Wednesday and Fridays, this is more so in Canada but usually applies to the US as well
They also will be able to give deals on accessories up to half the price of a geek squad warranty
Save money don’t go there . Walmart OSL is about 3-400$ less more products

Disagree with the Best Buy warranty it’s 100% worth it if you are shelling out over $2 grand on a Smart TV. My 2017 4k TV had a burn-in issue and Best Buy refunded me the $2199 due to the burn-in. Without the Warranty, I would have been out of $2 grand and a TV.

Nice video, first time seeing your channel and I did subscribe. One thing I’ve always found when you hear price match guarantee is that those who over it know that they will never have to worry about it because no other place will be selling the exact same model so it’s really useless.
Amazon. Needs to be sold and shipped by. And in stock. Same with Walmart. The fact that you didn’t say that is misleading. Have fun getting denied 🙃
