I just bought a brand new Dell XPS 13" 9380, non touch with Intel core i7, 4.6 GHz, quad core, 256GB SSD, 8GB but it heats up easily and also when it’s charging goes super hot, also sometimes feels a bit sluggish and battery lasts about 6-7hrs. My old Macbook Pro 13′ 2015, dual core, i5, 2.7GHz, 128GB, still works great, battery lasts 9-10hrs, I don’t feel the XPS is faster than the Mac, so I don’t know why I hear all the time that Dell XPS is good. Did I get a faulty unit?
Now, i’m returning the XPS and looking for a great, sturdy and long battery life Windows laptop. Any suggestions please?

I bought recently a msi ps63, it is the most good looking laptop I’ve ever seen, good specs and a nice battery life, it could be too in the video, I think.

The ASUS VivoBook S15 has an awful TN panel on it and the size of the full size keyboard means the main alphabet keys are off-centre which is uncomfortable. I’m returning mine. Cannot recommend

The Stealth 15, XPS 15 or higher end HP laptop Zbooks or Prosumer Spectre X360 are my choices for 15 inch. Love the look of the Spectre X360 but I’m leary to buy HP consumer laptops. I’ve had a few die out on me too early wheras all the cheap Dell’s and even cheap Asus laptops has lasted me years.

The Razer laptops are quality built but their support when it comes to repairs is especially dismal if its out of warranty. I waited several days after emailing them to get an out of warranty repair and wound up scrapping it by the time they got around to replying. My honest opinion is you’re going to pay more for a Razer laptop with lower end hardware than you will for a high end Thinkpad X1 Extreme or a high end laptop. Who really wants to lay out thousands for a laptop that has a one year warranty ? Considering the price, they should provide a 3 year warranty without charging more for it.

Hello you can help with something, look for a $ 2,000 laptop, how portable, the battery last for at least 3-4 hours and be "strong" in most video games.

Anyone here can help me to decide what to buy? I want to change my laptop since it’s been over 3 years already and I’m kinda tired of it. I’m a businessman/web developer and I travel often. Important factors for me are: performance, battery life, mobility and quality. I’m don’t run heavy games or softwares on my laptop. All I use are SDKs, code editors, project management softwares and sometimes Adobe Photoshop and illustrator. I prefer something for $1000 or lower. I’m thinking about XPS 13 and I like Dell build quality and performance done I’ve been using Dell for years. Nothing worked for me better than Dell. But of course I’m open to other suggestions. Your help would be really appreciated.
