I agree Scotty I have Harbor Freight tools that are over 30 years old, too many people talking negatively about HF without knowing the facts, they also have no idea how large Harbor Freight really is, also Harbor Freight like many other tool making companies make good, medium and cheaper tool, and not many complaints about the other companies, but as soon as you say Harbor Freight, the next words you hear is CHINESE MADE CHEAP! because HF also makes good tools they also make tools for other name brands and other companies charge more for the HF-made products. we have to remember that many people can not afford to buy high price tools, so thank God for Harbor Freight they can buy the tools they need and still get the job done, many people don’t use tools enough to even want to buy high-end tools.
overload⚡😂
OK – get this – I purchased a generator. Two years in (used once) a problem of not cranking, off to be repaired. Long time friend mechanic said we have a problem. We have a part that is no longer available. I can rig it but you will not be happy. Never ever again. Listen to this guy. I may get little things, but never a big ticket.
If its chromed vanadium don’t use it on your car. You’ll break them on any heavy job and be cursing all day.
HF is garbage in general.
I ONLY BUY QUALITY TOOLS AND KNOW EXACTLY WHAT SCOTTY IS SAYING BY EXP . EVERY THING FROM CHINA ENDS UP BROKEN .
I had the same one and cut up a 98 Ford expedition with it no problem
Good video. Surprised w the good video/editing quality from a older guy. Keep on keeping on my friend.
20% off of $200, is $160 not $180. just saying.
My heart stopped when I saw a picture of my saw. Actually it replaced a cheaper one I used for years.
Dude you are too funny! Love this video
Their plastic creepers are kind of good. It’s a blatant ripoff of the Bone Creeper.
You don’t have a garage full of tools, you have a garage full of junk!
Scotty’s showing off his cheap tools 😂
Sorry but what is 20% of 200
Thank you for your input. I can also recommend there flash lights. And they now have LIFETIME TOOLS!
Do also buy sea sockets?
Yeah he’s got some good points because no such thing as a free lunch but when it came to air ratchets snap on one was hundreds of dollars and if it broke which they all do eventually snap on dealer would take it away for a week or two when I need it so I bought the cheap harbor freight air ratchet but I bought four of them because when one broke I just grab the next one and then when that one broke I grab another one and when they all broke I try and usually succeed in making one good one from all the other broken ones and I was never without an air ratchet.
Scotty your opinion on harbor freight torque wrenches??
If You buy what should be a long wearing tool from Harbor Freight or Anyone for that matter, Go with the corded option! Years ago My Mother in law bought Me a Harbor Freight Oscillating tool with the 3 year warranty. It lasted 3 years before the batteries went South. So I bought the $17.99 corded version and all the Accessories fit from the first one still going strong
For the price you apparently paid for HD, I’ve got the same corded Ryobi and they’re still kicking after years of use. I don’t use them everyday as a pro, however not a one corded or cordless has died yet. If you’re buying DeWalt hand tools as a mechanic, I think you’re over-spending, unlike a framer or carpenter.
Great impartial evaluation. Good, bad and indifferent eval of several tools.
When did John Lennon become a mechanic ?
I’ve had a cheap jack from harbor freight go out because it started leaking fluid. My car is an mr2 spyder, very lightweight so I’m not lifting big 5000lb trucks. I also just bought a more expensive one from harbor freight and so far it’s working great no leaks.
I hVe been a mechanic, machinist
Building maintenance
I like watching your videos , I like your energy, and honest opinions.
I also you take a lot of heat from
Auto manufacters, and
Hey Scotty
Every time I’ve gone there the coupons don’t apply to the items I have bought. Including that scanner you just showed us. I bought the same one. Coupon didn’t work.
The socket set is the best
I like the way you have your garage organized Scotty. Easy to find stuff you need !!!
Any tool you shouldn’t buy any tool from horrible freight
I’ve been saying it for years harbor freight tools are junk
Good harbor freight review I really liked it my experience has been the same i am a 65 Year old maintenance tec
there air tools are terrible. I am a machine tool builder that builds tooling for GM, Ford and Chrysler assembly lines so I need my own tools. I bought a 1/2" air drill from harbor freight and it didnt have enough power to drill steel, my 3/8 husky drill is more powerfull. the central pnuematics from HF siezed up after about 6 months of light use for pilot holes. Sockets are good depending on if they are pitsburgh or cheaper ones. I bought e wratchet and socket set with no branding for 4.99 and the first socket I used mushroomed out arond the bolt head.
Man your garage is messy
I need a brake Job
It’s cool that you’re doing a giveaway Scotty, but I happen to already have enough screwdrivers 😛
You should try doing your videos with your hands in your pockets the way you flail your hands while you’re talking is distracting and annoying.
Love your videos
The icon line is high quality
I really don’t know why I never thought of this before, because it makes perfect sense when giving consumer advice: You compare a $219 Dewalt Drill with a $27.99 Harbor Freight, and a $179 Dewalt Reciprocating Saw, with a $19.99 Harbor Freight alternative, and come to the conclusion that the items that cost 10 and 9 times more respectively are the better tools. Wow who would have guessed that! What’s next, the shocking fact Kobe Streak is better than Chuck roast?!?!
Don’t buy the Gremlin Brand … nothing but troubles
0:52 wait hold up Scotty what was all that talk about how you shouldn’t put an aftermarket exhaust or change out your exhaust on your car?!
20% and $20 is two different things Scotty thought you were smarter than this
those drill bits are great for woodworking. nothing else
Cheap welder a great battery booster
Back then harbor freight had some iffy stuff but now they’ve gotten a lot better in my opinion..
Thank you.
I didn’t know Harbor freight sales deep sockets! Question, have you ever broke a deep socket from harbor freight?
