I just bought a 12x zoom lens from eBay for four quid, to be honest it doesn’t look too different from this 🤔 I wonder if they are just using the same lenses but charging extra 🤔

Would have been nice to know when you were at 50x or 20x or whatever. We had know idea. I think at x50 it would have been rubbish quality and a s dark as mud.
You say it doesn’t do well with moving subjects, but your video was so jittery ON STATIC SUBJECTS. Use the supplied tripod. Disappointed in your review.

I like Amazon’s "Compare with similar items" chart they provide with nearly everything sold on Amazon. It shows you other monoculars that are about the same size however they have lower advertised magnification. That’s an indication this cheap model is exaggerating the magnification. Magnification is determined by: focal length÷objective (or ocular) lens. According to the specs it’s 170mm long with an ocular lens of 18mm. That’s definitely less than 10x. Still a decent package for only $27.

I went to their web site (https://totrye.com/products/super-telescope?fbclid=IwAR3F64AB81csg6QHT4tNLdBvzjzpTX2xyUGZ2y5FRlizvQnNHpS5LmxkDtM), and was a little angry that they were showing pictures of Jupiter and Saturn that were NOT even close to what this lens is capable of capturing. They showed the striations in Jupiter and clearly showed the rings of Saturn….I don’t even see them even relatively close to that with my TELESCOPE. If a company has to lie to get me to buy it, chances are, I don’t want to buy it even if it does a half way good job otherwise.

this kind of scopes can be used on a digital camera too?
This product is the biggest rip-off I’ve ever purchased on line! The front lens FALLS out when facing down, the 1/4" compass fell off as soon as I took the product out of its cheap ass case! Do you really need a 1/4" compass, again more cheapness! The plastic lens holder of the front lens was also cracked when taken out of box rendering the lens useless. NO email address, NO phone number to contact who ever made this cheap ass CHY-NA FAKE product. 99.7% of the reviews were negative and I am guilty of not reading them prior to purchase, opps! America, stop buying this cheap-ass products from CHY-NA
