Adjustable MantelMount Solves Problem Of A TV Over Fireplace

If you’re mounting a TV above a fireplace you already know there’s challenges and trade offs. Yes, it may look nice mounted high on the wall, but when you’re seated on the sofa or recliner you’ll quickly learn it’s most likely too high for optimum viewing.

A solution to this dilemma is the MantelMount and in this video I’ll show you this product in action.

Where are all your media boxes? Blu ray player, receiver, cable box etc? I see your wires running to the back but my big question on these mounts is how to run all my other entertainment via remote still.

70” Plasma? Wow! I Didn’t Think They Made Plasma Anymore Due To Weight. I Have A Few Plasma TV’s But They Are On Stands, As I Was Not Comfortable With a 58” On An Articulated Mount… #TooHeavy!

I’m sure you know this but the fireplace shouldn’t be in use when you lower the TV for use. But I’m buying a Mantel Mount for our new home.

Can I install this tv mount upside down inside my working fireplace? I would like to pull it up instead of down. Reason being is I have a portrait of Isaac Newton that is already above my fireplace and placing a TV in front of the portrait would be stupid af.

  20. Dwight Stones on November 23, 2019 at 12:51 am

Bro it is right in front of the fire! No way that is safe or to code.

  21. Edwin Lozada on November 23, 2019 at 12:51 am

Is there any special electrical wireing for the outlet that you used or is it the a regular bx wireing

  22. peterdement on November 23, 2019 at 12:54 am

Does this violate the fire code by bring combustible materials (the TV) too close to the mouth of the fireplace? If a fire resulted from this installation  would your insurance company honor your claim?
