The Alesis Surge Mesh Electronic drum kit is the ultimate all in one kit for either brand new players that want a digital kit that will stand the test of time, or for more seasoned players that want an instrument for practice at home without annoying the neighbours. The Surge comes with absolutely everything you need to push your skills as far as you want.
i wonder if you can turn off the velocity only for the bass drum
The striker on the bass pedal at 1:20 appears to be backwards. I have the white side pointed towards the drum. So one of us is wrong.
Can i use a superior module for the kit? Like alesis dm10 series? I know I can plug into computer but what if I want to play elsewhere than the basement lol.
Great for starting ,
Can I plug these toms to a Roland td11 k? Thanks
What does this have over the Nitro kit?
I’m interested in plugging the pads into a TD50
Is the main difference between surge and nitro the bass kick? Thanks trying to decide.
Anyone know if you can use a different module as to avoid the absolutely atrocious sound of the hi hat
I have this drum but my cymbals are not chokable, do i need to update the firm of the module ? Or something like this
why in the hell would alesis include stock songs as cheesy as that. how does this fly in their design meetings.
does it really sound like that?
two zone toms and just ONE zone cymbals wtf
I’m getting this for Christmas
Finally a review that told me all i need to know lol
Can anyone write the size of the box?
2019
How much in US dollars? (As of Nov. 15, 2019) Thanks!
My god…all these hate towards the drummer..this isn’t a drum solo people, and you don’t need to show chops in a kit review
Hello and Greetings. If I want to expand and add on the extra Crash 2 and Tom 4, what would be the recommended and compatible one to use? Does Alesis have these accessories available?
1:40 Hi-hat did not respond to swing.
First off the mesh head replacements are cost effective quite cheap actually but I advise you to NOT buy anything from alesis! Ordering replacement mesh heads is practically impossible the company do absolutely nothing to help you. Mine are not damaged but I thought I’d buy replacements just incase but you have more chance of the queen twerking on top of the palace than you have getting any response from alesis. Great drum kits but dont be fooled the minute you buy 1 they are not available for sales help. Alesis are Very unprofessional!
Is the ride single zone
2019
Q1: Does every brand of electronic drum kit have a stereo line/headphone outputs for silent practice?
(Especially for those who live in New York where apartments are NOT spacious).
Q2: If any of the drum parts gets overused, can you replace them with individual parts?
Anyone? Need to ask before buying. Thank you for your help!
As soon as he said that the bass drum could fit a double pedal i was sold
terrible. obviously digital sound
Does this kit feature splash cymbals or stacked cymbals sounds?
All mesh pads for 5 bills? You can’t go wrong.. Great for practice!!
Very unrealistic sounds… Too bad alesis.
No need to pay $5,000 for Roland V drums
For $550 you can enjoy playing e drums
The stock kits are crap
Edit your own kit by assigning your favorite trigger sample, volume and tuning
I made a kit that sounds exactly like an acoustic set and I play for hours!
Did anyone notice that when he started playing kit 5 it sounded like the begging of rock with you by Michael Jackson
nice demo, love it
@4:00 mark. Solid! Word Up! Super Karaoke Win! 👍🏽
How do you replace the drum heads. The sensors are glued to the bottom of the heads.
this guy is not demo
can you use headphones through this model?
Thanks for the great overview, and actual samples… hey, I have that exact clock in my kitchen.
"in 2019, this list helped me decide for the best electronic drum set *scafe.shop/tbeds2019?8I* hope it helps you out too!"
Haha, love the hate comments towards this guy. He is obviously not going to play something ridiculous in a demo video…lol.
Looks like a fantastic kit, perfect for a starter like myself. Very heavily leaning towards this one at the moment.
I have one question – does this kit have a ryde cymbal? If not, I would be able to add one like he said at the end of the video, correct?
Thanks!
Those sounds are horrible. Better gi with Yamaha or use ezdrummer with this
Can use a doble pedal without problems? (Death Metal)
How big is that rug the kit is sitting on?
Btw, this video is greatly appreciated! Where else could one acquire said tshirt acquired quicklier than Quick?
Mr.Jamie from Alesis?
Cheeky
Is it pressure sensitive? I mean will the sounds vary according to my intensity of strike to the pads or cymbals?
Thanks Jamie. Very good video! You have made my mind up for my boy. Cheers From NZ
The built in sounds are shit in these things but they’re very useful when hooked up to drum software via midi. That’s how i use them anyway
3:26 sounds like that Phil Collins fill
Toms sounds like shit
having trouble finding examination mode on my mod any tips? also what does the utility button do??
That is a f*cking Nice drumkit
Terrible sounding kit.
