You know, Soul Edge was renamed Soul Blade because of Tim Langdell, the owner of Edge Games. He was pretty much a trademark troll in that he never did much with his company, but instead threatened lawsuits against anyone who tried to include the word ‘Edge’ in the title of anything video game related. Unfortunately, Langdell bit off more than he could chew in 2008 when he tried to sue Electronic Arts after they released Mirror’s Edge; Instead, they counter-sued him because of how he was handling his trademark, and he eventually lost the trademark on his name.

This list is definitely worth reading, but it will confuse many people, as many of these titles are known from their later european/american ports. For most viewers (and I do mean, worldwide, except for East Asia), this will not be representative of what they actually played in 1995. Also, Abuse was just the shareware in 1995 (not the complete one), Albion was german only (so most people will think it’s from 1996), and Time Crisis (arcade) was actually released in 1996 (unlike what the opening screen tells).

I’ve read that they’ve chose to make the character from BioForge a cyborg, because they knew they would not be able to make smooth animations, and when someone got heavy operations on him unnatural movements become believeably correct.
