We review our favourite smartphone cameras as we head into 2019, offering the best photo and video quality as well as brilliant features like Portrait Mode and Pro controls.
Our favourite mobile shooter right now is Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro, complete with a tri-lens setup. This camera can shoot incredible photos in any conditions, especially at night, while the versatile lenses suit any occasion. We also still love the P20 Pro, another triple cam smartphone.
Sony’s Xperia XZ2 Premium boasts the company’s first dual lens camera, capturing extreme detail even at night. The 4K HDR video and Super Slow Motion mode help to set this mobile apart from rival cameraphones. Of course, the Xperia XZ3 is still great too, despite rocking a single lens.
Some of our other favourite mobile snappers include Google’s Pixel 3 phones, the LG G7 and Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9. We’ve tested and reviewed all of these handsets and their camera tech over on Recombu, but if we missed our your own pick for the best, let us know in the comments below!
Well if you know smartphone camera well the king in camera is Pixel followed by iphone xs, note9 and then mate20 pro. When it comes to 4k video recording the king is iphone xs followed by note9, pixel is king at shooting 1080p due to great stabilization but doesnt shoot 4k60fps. Mate20pro good in zoom and night mode arguably between pixel and mate20pro. My choice is xs.

Hi. I want your camera review of Xiaomi redmi note 6 pro and Huawei y9 2019 please. These phones are famous and are owned by most people.
I still have the galaxy s9 from when it first came out, camera quality is great for the "landscape" camera but the selfie quality is meh, especially on Snapchat because they have to use a screen capture for Samsung devices. I just don’t know if an iPhone would run as well as this one that I have, I have lots of apps and games on mine and have had for years without it slowing down at all.

Watching this on a Sony Xperia XZ3. It’s a great phone with a great camera and I could get it for half the price of a Mate 20 Pro 😀

Huawei Mate 20 Pro is great for taking photos, but it’s not a complete replacement for MicroPC.
I’m currently using a Sony which I always loved but the steep price for the New one is holding me back.I’m looking at a cheaper version of the Huawei p20 pro like the 10+ or mate 10 any suggestions which camera is better?

Still like iPhone picture and video quality. But only like one lense phone. So iphone xr has the best quality in my eyes. Why, let me explain. When shoot video, xr does not need to change lenses, changing lenses can cause video quality change and a blink of white flash on the video. Single xr does not have this issue. Xr single camera pixel size is larger than xs max, which means the quality of the picture is much better than xs max. So, picture and video recording has a better result than xs max. The only rival in my eyes is Google pixel 3, but this is in theory because I havent touched pixel yet. But its a test deserved to make a comparison.
