So, black people in these interviews want to be seen as individuals and not suffer racial prejudices of any sort, however they define white people as this homogenous mass of ignorance and lack of sensitivity. Or did I get it wrong?

Bruv this man really knows how to hit all the points👏🏾 having to overcompensate to make co-workers feel comfortable🙄 like I came here to work not to act

8:30 "that’s not something white people ever have to do"
…. I mean, it kind of could be depending on your beliefs and lifestyle. I don’t ever feel like I’m being my authentic self at work, probably why I don’t really have office friends. I know it’s not on the same level… But not every white person approves of every other white person. They just might be less aggressive about their opinion on it if you’re white. 🤷

African americans are so underrepresented because they arent creating companies to hire themselves, they have every oppurtunity to make the next, facebook, google, apple, microsoft, Nike, intel, Tech companies, consurmer companies, Clothing brands, Cars, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc so many buisnesses in america, over 1000s and they are big and bigger ones, alot of comptetitors alot of companies that need each other, and you are going to sit here and cry when those companies started by other races dont hire you, get all the way the hell out of here

  9. None Ya on July 3, 2020 at 7:16 pm

Even when you have a dispute at work a white co worker when they’re the ones being aggressive and rude you’ll still be the one whose questioned and forced to accept it. We’re all just people, can we keep the same energy with everybody regardless of their race, sex or sexual orientation please?

  10. Audrie Gordon on July 3, 2020 at 7:18 pm

Thank you so much for keeping us all in the know – and helping us to keep smiling! Did you see that NBC article by Nicole Hemmer on DT’s ventriloquism? What did you think of that?

  12. NGA Grl on July 3, 2020 at 7:21 pm

Here in the south many Black people say "ax" instead of "ask". When we were interviewing for a position that would require speaking to doctors on the phone, we saw many candidates who, though otherwise qualified, used "ax" instead of "ask". My heart would always sink when I’d hear a job candidate use that word incorrectly because I knew my boss would never hire them.

  16. Nigel Ebelties on July 3, 2020 at 7:22 pm

As a white person I once wasn’t hired to a school because there were fewer black people on that school so they needed diversity. I wasn’t hired because I’m white

  17. ThyJuan C on July 3, 2020 at 7:24 pm

I have been told not to speak my language Spanish with other coworkers and even drop my accent, my answer always been hell no.. I am who I am and not changing for no one..is sad that being a certain race gets you nothing.. we are all humans period.. enough is enough..

How about BLM in getting legislation and laws charged in favor of Blacks 🤔

  23. ruby scott on July 3, 2020 at 7:30 pm

I think white people know that they can ask black people these impertinent things and get away with it. Some people enjoy being disrespectful.

  24. MBPrincesa on July 3, 2020 at 7:30 pm

I relate to this video so much!!! As a black woman I ALWAYS try to make sure my voice doesn’t sound super sweet (so that I don’t sound like an aggressive black woman) and I used to always straighten my hair because I thought it made me look more professional . It’s only now that I’m older I realized why I did these things. I wanted to look and sound like I could “fit in” with people that didn’t look like me.

  25. Bracketville August on July 3, 2020 at 7:32 pm

With that said why not ask Michael Jordan, Kareem Omar, Oprah Winfrey, where are their company on hiring blacks? They have stocks in all of these major companies… start there

  26. Germa Alem on July 3, 2020 at 7:33 pm

Why Discovery channel dont have no black show’s?

  27. woody on July 3, 2020 at 7:35 pm

I’m a software engineer and I look black and I don’t look ur normal looking average nerd and also the other engineer I worked with she’s black and a female we never get treated right than our white peers good thing we’re smart and intelligent. The worst thing though the other manager is from India. We just don’t understand it!

  31. Luis Herrera on July 3, 2020 at 7:39 pm

But when Hispanics get hired they want us to work 10x’s harder then whites doing more than 1 job as well. While they do 1 job and fiddle with their ass, but when we dont want to do it we are called lazy.

  32. Nero Archangel on July 3, 2020 at 7:41 pm

Lol "All your executives are white" so now, you want to be tokens? Where black people are good they’re really good and hold high positions in such companies. You can’t just jump up in ranks based off of your skin or race. Get real. If you’re not qualified for the job you don’t get the job period.

  33. ALEXANDER MONDAY on July 3, 2020 at 7:43 pm

NIKE and JORDAN BLM now buy my $200 overpriced basketball ball shoes, and since you can’t afford them. You idiots kill each other for them. Quit wasting your money over this overpriced crap. Invest in yourself, your neighborhood, stocks, real estate etc.. I’ve own these stocks, made money, but not the shoes. ✌🏾

  34. Nicolaus Volentius on July 3, 2020 at 7:43 pm

White people don’t change the way they speak? I get that it’s more drastic for black people, but saying that makes it seem like whoever wrote the joke doesn’t know many white people.

  35. Mephibosheth Gorejena on July 3, 2020 at 7:44 pm

Travor l hope u can interview me,l want to talk abt my experience as e only black guy in a company in South Africa

  36. Kali_Yuga on July 3, 2020 at 7:45 pm

"I speak English and I speak white" "to make white people feel more comfortable"… sorry I’m starting to be against this whole ”BLM’ thing because that’s just racist. Besides you just said it OBAMA and that was a black president btw, there are a lot of homeless white people, a lot of white people who are struggling just as much as anybody, where is their white privilege?.. Nobody of you idiots worked as slaves so just cut the crap, you weren’t even around. Even trevor noha doing this very daily show is black, cops are black, news hosts are black…It ain’t all fucking racism. blaming white people for everything that’s what I call racist…

  37. Common Sense on July 3, 2020 at 7:45 pm

there are only 4 black ceos in the fortune 500, okay and? who cares , those black ceos were given the reigns from a company founded by a white person.

its simple, create a company and then hire the ceo , black executives or whoever else you want yourselfs, rise to the top to be the ceo of a white company, yeah that makes sense

how about create/ be a founder of a company and have exclusive rights to hire whoever the hell you want.

  38. The Swirl Experience on July 3, 2020 at 7:46 pm

Trevor, you crazy af😂 your grandma pulling bail out money from her bra! I’m dead 💀

  39. C L on July 3, 2020 at 7:48 pm

As a Hispanic, when I was speaking with clients on the phone as a stock broker, i constantly got "you dont sound Mexican "…i usually laughed it off because they didn’t seem to be hurtful but one guy I literally told, "am I supposed to sound like Cheech?" (Thanks George Lopez). He got nervous and said sorry. Never had run ins like that with co workers but I do get the "hey, wheres the best mexican restaurant?" Or "how do you say ____ in Spanish "…sorry bro, no hablo Español! Ha

  40. Common Sense on July 3, 2020 at 7:48 pm

Why would a company founded by a person , hire someone based off race just because a movement wants it?, this is hypocrisy and not even fair. if the company is founded by a white person and the ceo is white, and they choose to hire all white executives that is there choice, if they hire 5 white, 4 black, 3 indian, its there choice, if that white ceo hires 9 black and 2 chinese its that ceo and companies choice.

Its also your choice to not support if you want to

If a black man starts a company and is a ceo, and he hires an all black executive team, than good for him , im happy for you. im not going to sit here and cry about hiring a white person, get outta here this makes no sense

  41. Chang Liu on July 3, 2020 at 7:49 pm

China is the heaven for black people actually.

That resume experiment is why Asian people have a white name and a cultural name.

  45. Maulana49 on July 3, 2020 at 7:55 pm

When a black store owner call’s the cop’s because his wine and spirit store was being robbed smh and the guy who was robbing the store happened to be a white guy, so when the cop’s came on the scene they let the white guy go smfh and beat up the owner and broke his jaw 🙁 then locked him up!!! People were trying to tell them that he was THE OWNER!!

  46. Ricardo Murillo on July 3, 2020 at 7:58 pm

I remember a poem that said that a more difficult thing after being black is being black and a woman. Something must change.

  47. Latonya Johnson on July 3, 2020 at 7:58 pm

    EXACTLY

  48. Germa Alem on July 3, 2020 at 7:58 pm

Discovery and.all channels no black show at all. Eg. Bachelor tv history no black man? Resist

  49. Brakarot on July 3, 2020 at 8:02 pm

The only way to stop code switching is to just stop. Also, work voice vs real voice is real for everybody. White Surfer types saying “cool brah gnarly” don’t speak that way in a suit and tie business environment. Not unless they are the ones emptying the trash.

  50. Pedro Lopez on July 3, 2020 at 8:03 pm
