CAD – Computer Aided Dispatch

CAD – Computer Aided Dispatch

The City of Allen has just recently implemented a new Public Safety Computer Aided Dispatch System. The CAD is a system of hardware and software, vehicle locators and integrated equipment which all allow the public safety communications center to receive emergency calls, pinpoint the location of the emergency, and then effectively send the appropriate resources to the scene.

How do you even become a dispatcher for example? Seems like a tough, complex job. But where do they teach it? How would one join? Interesting…

Thank you! I am 15 years old and wanting to become an officer. I am interested in learning all that I can about the force and software used and what it does. I also ask real officers to inform me on the matters as well, This helped me understand a lot about the CAD system and its materials.

Did yall know its illegal to hack someone and provoke them and also to put a citizen life in jeopardy by violation of the rights it is natural instinct for individual to defend himself when his rights are being violated not following process of law or sending out a summons to notify the individual is a violation of process if individual is higher educated than you and this matter you are not even allowed to speak with that individual

I find it difficult to imagine full time workstations without headsets. I wonder if the one shown in the video is a demo/temporary workstation
