I’ve been working in ogp for 2 days and I’m really liking it so far. They asked me if I preferred picking and I said yeah so that’s what I’ve been doing. I also love my supervisors since they are so nice.
For those who are considering this job. If you work at a walmart supercenter it will always be busy. But a neighborhood walmart is different. There are really good days when you get done an hour early to do putbacks (orders that were cancelled/didn’t show up) or really bad days when you’re an hour behind. It really isn’t that bad in either part of the job. If you pick it’s shopping on a time limit (i think it depends on which part of the store but from what I’ve done it’s easy to get 45ish items for 8 different orders in under 20 minutes). If you distribute it’s loading a car with the groceries. The only thing you have to worry about is making people mad and with the amount of communication you do its quite easy to not make someone mad.
so I start Monday .. I’m super nervous but this video helped out a lot!!! I just get anxious because I know some people don’t like to train as well and I like to know what I’m getting myself into before they just throw me in ..
I started this job a few months ago but things are picking up. Worked shift double and one week boss wanted me to work over every day except one day off. There is a remodel at our store and so many holes or plugs… difficult to find things at times where scanner is saying to get an item even if inventory app even says we do not have a thing. Express orders happen where other customers are peod that I tell them I cannot have time where they instead need to go to service desk if needing help , not enough people working happen where blue shirts are worn begging people to work at Walmart, and holidays are going to make things busy this year it seems. Basically it is a good job and had many say thanks for helping.
I work this job a little over a year now. During the summer it is extremely hot when taking groceries out to the cars. Your back hurts from picking up heavy crates. Overall picking the items are easy it’s a good job for students. They will through you into doing freight if there isn’t anything to do so beware. Managers can be rude!
I have an interview for this position on the 21st I’ve been having a hard time finding jobs that will work with my availability since I’m a full time college student I’m hoping they’ll be flexible😭

This job is super difficult most get thrown in the position without training because they short handed .good luck. .I work at Walmart currently this position is not good.overworked upset workers

Getting paid to scavenger hunt. That looks fun. It’s like endless shopping, but you can’t keep the items lol
