This is a flexible choice of oven for your kitchen, with several cooking functions available for preparing different meals. As it’s a wall oven, you can install it at waist height or higher and easily access your cooking without bending over, which is good news if you have a bad back.

The oven’s overall design is very stylish, with a black glass door, stainless steel trim and handle, and a blue electronic display at the centre of the controls.

For simple and straightforward cooking, the oven has two dials – one for setting the temperature, and the other for setting the oven function. There are five to choose from, including defrost setting, fan cooking, grilling and fan grilling.

The digital display in the centre is for your oven’s clock, and is also where you can set some of the oven’s more advanced cooking features. When you first turn this oven on, the AUTO light will flash, indicating that the oven is ready to be programmed for cooking. To cancel the automatic programs, just press the hand button, and you can cook your food manually, just using the dials. You can use the bell button to set an alarm to tell you when your cooking time is up.

The two bowl buttons are used for programming a start and end time for your cooking. This can be handy for when you’re multitasking in the kitchen and really need the oven to look after itself for a while. Once you’ve set your times using the plus and minus buttons, the oven will automatically start cooking at the time you’ve selected, and automatically switch itself off when the time is up, so you won’t have to worry about accidentally leaving it on.

The oven’s glass door is double glazed, which helps to keep the heat locked inside for efficient cooking, and also helps to keep the door cooler to touch during cooking,. Plus, the oven uses a fan to circulate cool air between the layers of door glass, for added kitchen safety. Finally, the glass on the inside of the door can easily slide out, making cleaning that much easier.

Looking inside the oven, there’s 60 litres of gross volume available. The shelves have an anti-tip design, allowing them to support full loads of food, even when fully extended. At the rear, the oven has a 25W halogen light to let you see what’s going on inside.

The inside surfaces are made from a smooth and glassy enamel that Delonghi calls Durastone Plus, designed for long-lasting reliability and easy cleaning. Another great cleaning feature is the drop-down heating element at the top of the oven, allowing you to easily access any food splashes on the roof of the oven. One more way to can easily clean this oven is by attaching catalytic liners to its interior walls to absorb food splashes, though these are sold separately and need to be replaced over the oven’s lifespan.

And that’s the Delonghi electric wall oven, available with a 2 year warranty.

Yes it’s a good oven for sure. My clock display keeps dropping back to 00.00 as if we had a power failure but none of our other appliances in the home are affected. All the connections are tight. Could the display be faulty? It’s at least 6ys old.
