The Depict Frame is a 49-inch 4K UHD display which is connected to the cloud to bring some of the best art in the world right into your home. Once installed, you use the Depict app to connect to the Depict Collection – you can access a handful of free art pieces each month, or you can opt for Depict Premium and get access to hundreds of different pieces.

The Depict Frame is color-calibrated and optimized to accurately display both still art and moving images. It’s got a matte finish which adds an extra layer of realism to the art.

The Depict Collection features crystal-clear 4K artworks from cutting-edge digital artists and classical masters.

Getting set up is actually easier than I thought. Depict includes everything you need to mount the Frame right in the box – you have the Depict mounting plate with a built-in level, 4 standard screws, 4 wood screws, 4 wall anchors, a 10 foot power cord – be sure you have an outlet near where you want to hang it – and the Frame itself. You’ll need to supply your own drill, but that’s about it.

All you need to do is drill the mounting plate into your desired location, get someone to help you hang the frame on the wall mount, plug it in, turn it on, and download the Depict app to complete installation.

You get to preview the premium pictures for 5 minutes but can you keep previewing them every time new guests come over?

What do you guys think of the Depict Frame? Is it something you’d use in your home? I actually found it to be pretty awesome – a unique way to use smart home tech and the cloud to add a touch of beauty into any space.

  6. kensyre on December 10, 2021 at 10:13 am

Wouldn’t it be great if they added "true-tone" like technology to make it more realistic. Great frame though

is this suitable for an office waiting room ? cost?

  8. alexshdvideo on December 10, 2021 at 10:13 am

Do they have smaller ones? I was looking at Murial (what ever it’s called. 1080p.. less money but well thought of.. anyway good to see more competition in this market. I’m looking for 16×20 roughly sized good mat digital frame , however this Depict looks very interesting for larger areas.. 4K being ideal for artwork, (one could argue dimishing returns on 4K vs 1080p (excluding HDR) because of so so so many variables, but for static artwork it would be a real decision point.

So I also own one. Got an email a couple weeks ago. The company is shutting down> I have owned this frame for 4 months. i emailed the company to find out if it will still work after they are gone. They don’t know. Just wondering if anyone else knows anything about this

That’s a sweet looking frame. Colors and vibrance of the screen looked really nice. Yeah, a little pricey, but one of the best looking photo frames that I’ve seen!

Interesting to see others following in the footsteps of Samsung with their “The Frame”. It was really good to see the Depict delivering what looks like an impressive panel.
Very nice review as always Andru

All I have to do is buy a bigger 4K TV for cheaper, hang it on the wall. Connect a Chromecast to the TV, get free Google pictures. I can use the TV for other things too, not just pictures, the price is just ridiculous. Come on!

  22. JonIBoI0 on December 10, 2021 at 10:40 am

    This with NFTs game changer!

  23. Finlay McEwan on December 10, 2021 at 10:43 am

Seems like a waste of a 4k display. Surely it should be designed to double as a television? Kinda like what Samsung is doing with their TVs disguised as photo frames

I’ve been asking for something like this…. This is nice.

  25. April Jetson on December 10, 2021 at 10:45 am

I would like a comparison video of this, the Meural, and the Memento. I think Depict only works with iOS, which is a bummer

  26. Grateful Bear on December 10, 2021 at 10:49 am

Company went bankrupt and no cloud or support. No way to show any art.

  29. Johnny Goni on December 10, 2021 at 10:56 am

Is this an apple pic frame??? Or the new trending is price new gadgets at 1000$?? Too much money, this is a toy for reach people……

  30. Virtual IT Boy on December 10, 2021 at 10:57 am

I really like this idea but.. What is the power drawn that he takes??

  31. Mohamad Reza on December 10, 2021 at 10:57 am

borne in when a pic showing for hours and hours ?

  32. Ejahuna on December 10, 2021 at 11:04 am

Doesn’t Samsung have a similar product?

  33. Fluorine, Uranium, Carbon, Potassium on December 10, 2021 at 11:05 am

the problem is the frame is too bright and it doesnt look like paper art. Meural actually looks like art because the display tech they are using minimizes light output. in a dark room you can barely make out the image. I always felt like that aspect was the reason to buy one of these. if this doesn’t have that feature then its just an overpriced less versatile tv
