I have refused to use a realtor. Just done so much research and everything is going smooth so far. We are buying with Horton as well and like you I sneak to look at the house as well. I stress about things going wrong. Looking forward to that closing date.

Congratulations! So glad you guys were able to close! I think you should still do a review. You don’t have to go in detail, but just to alert people who may be looking at her. I absolutely cannot stand when I have to do other people jobs. Like you shouldn’t have to talk to anyone outside of the realtor when there’s major issues and concerns.

We just bought a home with dr Horton and our closing day was supposed to be the 29th and then they pushed it back to mid April and then on top of that the way they do the front door is not correct . Then the builders be leaving they trash in the house lol I’m sick of them and the whole team

Typically the walk throughs are scheduled through your realtor as your realtor is the co-realtor/broker on the deal which would explain why your realtor wanted to point you in the direction of the builder
The exact same thing happened to us and we closed on the same exact day! The builder did not complete anything from the initial walkthrough.
Sounds Like the realtor and lender were the issue; glad it all worked out.
Oh wow, yeah buying a house always has surprises but thank God the process is over. I am so excited to see how the house comes together. I love home decor.
Thank you for your video! I have so many questions because we are also about to purchase a home and go into contract with DR Horton too for one of their two stories in Florida. Specifically the Hayden floor plan. I love the houses and it’s in the perfect area for us. We are going to use their lender and title agent too bc they will being paying a portion of our closing costs. We just want to make sure we catch anything that’s wrong during the building process. We have a friend who is a builder and our friend is our realtor so two people we trust to help us in the journey

I’m sorry you guys went through that! We did too, it was a nightmare to get the home ready on time for closing and dr Horton is still nowhere to be found with some of my warranty requests😐
We had a similar process when it came to selling our house. We were literally in the dark the entire time & closing got pushed back like 5 times. The only good thing is our house sold quickly and we came out on top BUT this has been such a trying and stressful process. We originally had the expectation of the house being done in Feb and now here it is Mid March & we won’t close until April 13th 🙃🙃🙃🙃 on top of all this I’m hella pregnant and want to just get settled already

That realtor would not have been my realtor for point one. Your issue wasn’t with the builder your realtor was the worst realtor ever. I said it! Congrats praying all go well.
We’re having to give our DNA sample. Loan officer won’t call back, processor keeps asking for more and more and more documents, it’s like they are dragging this thing along.
Same thing happened to me. Is this in Texas.? I literally had to get my hospital involved to pressure the title company to close me right away cause I have medical obligations to get to.

I heard lots of negative things about DR Horton.
Congrats on closing on your home. We had the same problem when it came to closing. They waited till the last min to say they needed more paperwork. SMH Cannot wait to see your home tour and how you decorated your new home. Great start to 2021.
Did you pay to have a home inspection done or you did you trust that the builder did everything correctly?
Wow. Went through something very similar. The process is just ass! But when you get those keys!?!?! It makes it all worth while!

You should not have built with DR Horton. They are a cheap builder. You should have done your homework. Horror stories….

Mine loan officer is asking us to request to extend the closing date as it isn’t going to get closed on deadline? Fuck I am worried 😟
Homebuyers nightmare gate never works.. they didn’t honor landscaping or concrete issues for multiple residents.. go check Google reviews. Houses are built in two-three weeks.. poor craftsmanship but they look good. They do final walk through same day as closing after pushing most buyers move in dates
