Driving forever to Micro Center, Dallas Texas (the Garcias travel)
Mark has been complaining of not getting enough sleep every Friday because transcoding videos take forever on a Core i5 8400 6 core processor. We also want to see Dallas and the mythical computer parts superstore called Micro Center.
There is no Micro Center in Austin. The only other store that’s like it, Fry’s Electronics, has closed permanently. Best Buy is not even close to what Mark thinks a computer parts superstore should be.
So like any normal family who likes to experience new things we drove 3+ hours to Dallas, got hungry on the way, waded through heavy rain on I-35 and got dumbfounded how HUGE the city is compared to Austin.
And of course we got to Micro Center, got our stuff, and left a lot poorer.
