What I can’t do , is to create the madia mail label from the usps page, without the eBay account. I’ll love to hear from you about this matter 😃👍👋

Does media mail come with tracking when using eBay to print off the label? I am an new seller, and so far have only shipped priority and first class, so I am able to see when a shipment has arrived with those services.

  3. Mzox210 on April 13, 2020 at 8:08 am

Another question can I ship them in a dvd shipping box or does it have to a bubble envelopes. I have a few SteelBook blue ray listed and I don’t want them to get damage on the way to the my customers.

I have a couple more questions. Can you prepay for media mail postage online to print at home? Or do you have to ask them for media mail shipping and have them do it at the post office? Does Media mail get shipped slower than regular mail?

  15. Beatrice Norman on April 13, 2020 at 8:19 am

I’ve heard MM can be really slow. Is it possible to also include another shipping method as a faster alternative? Say, if a buyer wants to pay the extra bucks for Priority, can I make the listing reflect that?
Is this a common practice, or do most of buyers opt for the cheaper Media Mail shipping?
    Thx!

You they say dvds that means movie right? What about blue ray

  19. Sarah Woodruff on April 13, 2020 at 8:24 am

I’ve been having a problem with my local post offices, and I’ve seen others have this issue as well – the postal workers are saying that to qualify for media mail, the context must be educational in nature. I know that’s a crock, but why are so many USPS offices saying this? Is it some new "rule" they’re trying to enforce? The guidelines are clearly stated on their website and other postal service providers’.

Does eBay care if you send non media media mail to save money and collect the difference on shipping

I’m assuming coloring books would also fall under the category of video games and blank media.

  24. T Lewis on April 13, 2020 at 8:34 am

I am getting conflicting answers from USPS, do you know if a USPS first class package is eligible for the free USPS “Schedule a Pick Up” service. I have done this service once for a Priority Mail package, but I can’t figure out if a first class package is eligible for this service. Thanks

  26. TTG Bullion on April 13, 2020 at 8:37 am

  27. Captain Picard on April 13, 2020 at 8:37 am

Hi Steve — What about portable hard drives? I’d like to use media mail to send portable hard drives with video and audio files on them recorded from live events… Would this be acceptable for Media Mail? Thanks

  31. After Asteroid Survivor on April 13, 2020 at 8:42 am

Dang. I had a bunch of video games ready to list using media mail shipping until I seen this video. Saved me a lot of money and headaches. I simply just went back and listed them in first class. Thank you!

You laid this out so well, nobody has been this descriptive and clear on YouTube in my opinion!! đŸ™ŒđŸŽ‰đŸ€©

  36. Lord Hades on April 13, 2020 at 8:52 am

What I dont get is why do you even get a option for media mail on a video game listing if it’s not allowed? Ebay can easily
Remove media mail. I personally dislike media mail too rough on parcels

  37. Jeremiah Anderson on April 13, 2020 at 8:52 am

Maybe a dumb question but do you have to create your own labels or does the post office do that for you?

  38. Temujin Khan on April 13, 2020 at 8:52 am

Thanks for getting straight to the point and actually saying them outright. The only channel that answered my question. I somewhat understood USPS about the "Pre-recorded DVDs" but really they need to actually say what you just said so that even the dumbest person can actually comprehend without any question.

  39. Corey Fellows on April 13, 2020 at 8:55 am

so you just mention that it’s media and it’s cheaper?

  40. Suzette Denny on April 13, 2020 at 8:57 am

    Radio???

  41. jtm88 on April 13, 2020 at 9:01 am

Thanks for the video – I’ve been doing some searching because I’m trying to sell a large lot of (30) VHS tapes and the answers so far have been confusing. I noticed other ebay-ers selling lots of VHS tapes through Media Mail so I assumed that they qualify..

I asked at one post office today in person and they said that it had to be educational only… BUT then I called a different local post office, and the main USPS call center, and both said it would be fine since like you said it qualifies as a video recording (but the first guy didn’t know what a VHS was, ha.).

Maybe because VHS tapes are obviously outdated so they aren’t spelled out directly on the USPS website for Media Mail, which adds a little to the confusion. And the USPS website also doesn’t say it HAS to be educational only – it says, "Media MailÂź is a cost-effective way to send media AND educational materials."

I think that I’m probably fine, but there seems to be a disconnect between the different post offices and I’m worried about getting billed (or the buyer billed) more than twice what I am selling them for because some random USPS worker decides it doesn’t quality because they aren’t educational :/

I’ll let you know how it goes..

Selling 30 to 60 year old comics, any advertising in them is no good. Have shipped them Media Mail before. Was I just lucky?
