How the fuck is the oscilloscope more expensive than the 3d printer? Is there a cheap alternative to an oscilloscope?

  7. Marko Mocilac on November 16, 2021 at 9:41 am

Hi there 🙂 I really enjoying your videos and decide to subscribe. Great concept you have, covering from basic of electronic to interesting projects and comparations.
I have one question about oscilloscope in this video.
In video you recommend KeySight DSOX1204G, but the link doesn’t match that, it shows different, much cheaper one from AliExperess.
    Could you please explain?

  8. Aeutomticat on November 16, 2021 at 9:41 am

You missed out on your shelf of marker pens!

  11. E W on November 16, 2021 at 9:45 am

Nice video. I would add an ESR meter. You could find some cheap one on bangood (around 20-30€)

  12. Darryl Rowles on November 16, 2021 at 9:46 am

Perhaps you can review some PC based Oscilloscopes – LOTO OSC482 series, Oscilloscope/Signal Generator/Logic Analyzer for example > $100

    I have a 200€ budget – this video: No.

Most essential tool to make electric project is knowledge. And courage of curiosity to gain more and more knowledge of any field.

Don’t go after money, go for knowledge and skills money will come to you.
one more thing, knowledge is almost free in this interconnected world nowdays.

A Japanese 3-way saw is a super handy tool to have. đŸ€™

  21. Calthecool on November 16, 2021 at 10:00 am

Calling an oscilloscope an “essential tool” is probably turning off a lot of beginner electronics hobbyists.

  22. Mustafa YETİƞ on November 16, 2021 at 10:01 am

I think you miss the temperature camera and VNA.

Instead of constructing a lab with big devices Buy a device like
an all in one multimeter that includes temperature reading+frequency reading+LCR reading+oscilloscope+function generator+etc.

By the way, you poor man ! if you don’t buy a 1000+ euro-oscilloscope you will not be able to do anything haha hahaha 🙂
Chinese 100$ oscilloscopes meet 80% electronics stuff

  23. n1k3x on November 16, 2021 at 10:04 am

This is such a discouraging video for beginners. You do NOT need to spend several hundreds/thousands of euros on essential equipment.

  24. Paul Garten on November 16, 2021 at 10:05 am

So I will need a function Generatöööööööö XD

  25. Iam2lazy2register on November 16, 2021 at 10:05 am

    @GreatScott!
: can you please recommended good solder wire? (Lötzinn) I am really struggling finding a good quality one

    Desoldering tools you missed..

  27. Pawan Kumar on November 16, 2021 at 10:09 am

Wow… This video is a visual treat for every hobbyist

  28. LuĂs Carlos on November 16, 2021 at 10:10 am

The most important is money to buy the oscilloscope…

Show us all your projects, where do you store all the projects?

  31. Dominic on November 16, 2021 at 10:12 am

I think you should show some of that awesome German generosity and send me that sweet $12K oscilloscope. No? Ok, fine…I hope you spill your beer!! LOL

  32. Trent Jackson on November 16, 2021 at 10:13 am

You missed "Desoldering Equipment" A desoldering gun for thru hole components is essential. I too have a small lab. But I am not quite as bright or as smart as you.

  33. n1k3x on November 16, 2021 at 10:14 am

An oscilloscope, microscope, and a soldering station are very unnecessary. You only need a soldering iron, pliers, and a sidecutter for most projects.

  34. Liam Marten on November 16, 2021 at 10:15 am

Don’t worry too much if him and everyone in the comments make you feel overwhelmed, you can get everything dirt cheap from China and half the stuff isn’t fully necessary if you’re willing to get creative

  35. Steven Hohnke on November 16, 2021 at 10:16 am

I’ve got the smaller version of your WĂŒrth Box and I have to say WĂŒrth tools are such a delight. I use them almost daily and they never failed me.. definitely a good recommendation.

  36. Ranpato Amami on November 16, 2021 at 10:16 am

6:24 What are you doing behind me?

  37. n1k3x on November 16, 2021 at 10:17 am

I would like to remind the author that not everyone lives in Germany

  38. Shahzad Mughal on November 16, 2021 at 10:18 am

Now you have 1.5M subs, now you should improve your intro, existing have very less pixels (i mean lights) so increase small many lights
