Ya how cool. I’m so happy I was able to get one on launch. Not like they sold out in 15 seconds and are still out of stock everywhere. This launch was worse than nvidia imo

  2. Dawson Burch on November 11, 2020 at 1:14 am

How do you update mother board if this is your first build? And all you have is the 5800x in hand??

NEVER EVER buy new tech right away. Wait for bugs to be worked out and prices will drop after hollidays . Planing on building an ALL amd system after the new year.

Actually is you have bios flashback utility you can update without cpu I bought a x570 a few months ago, bought a 5900x on scan, upgrading from a 4790k

  9. Research and Build on November 11, 2020 at 1:19 am

    Cant even buy it

  11. stu over on November 11, 2020 at 1:20 am

AMD has already advise that you will not get 2Ghz yet as it requires a update that will becoming later

  12. Lukiel666 on November 11, 2020 at 1:22 am

First thing to do, buy a new surge protector preferably 2100 joules plus protection. They do wear out over time. I usually buy my parts Black Friday and Boxing day look for a deal on them then.
I also hit my BIOS and set my fan curve to quiet mode.

NOTE: Many of you are wondering about updating the BIOS. I should have mentioned this, but there ARE boards that allow something called USB Flashback. This allows you to update your board without a CPU even installed. Here’s a list of boards that support this feature. The following links are affiliate links.
DISCLAIMER: Double check the board has it before purchasing. This is also not an exhaustive list. I take no responsibility for any mistakes.

Bought my 5800x 3 minutes after launch! I hope that the 6900x will be in stock 😅 I already thought of buying the 6800x just in case to a new gpu xD (i currently have a gtx 970 which is slow these days :/)

  17. Arved R on November 11, 2020 at 1:28 am

Want to wait to buy the 5600x until the gpus release, hope I can get one for retail price, they are somewhat available but already 50 Euros more expensive which is total bs…

  18. Anubis on November 11, 2020 at 1:31 am

    5 things to do

Find the right AIO cooler for the crazy spikes on 5800x!

  20. M E on November 11, 2020 at 1:32 am

    RAM check !!
DDR single rank vs dual rank you reach 10% performance difference on AMD 5000 so be very careful man !! Bye

  21. El Cattivo on November 11, 2020 at 1:34 am

2020 Windows should take over the mainboard driver installation.

  22. Michael Stanley on November 11, 2020 at 1:34 am

The first thing I did with my Ryzen 5000 build was assemble it! 😀

  23. Aspen Cat on November 11, 2020 at 1:35 am

ryzen master LOL, what a piece of shit software

  24. M3RedGT on November 11, 2020 at 1:35 am

    Yes yes
    update your bias!

  25. Andy Jary on November 11, 2020 at 1:37 am

Excellent Video, Gamer Meld! Maybe worth telling people about the testing that Gamers Nexus has done regarding the use of only 2 Memory Sticks giving a 10% performance increase. E.G. 2 x 16GB as opposed to 4 x 8GB. Really interesting find and they are going to look further into this situation. Just subbed (thought I already did, but have done now!)

  26. Sam Kim on November 11, 2020 at 1:39 am

Literally woke up at 6AM on the day of release.
    Checked AMD website (no posts)
    Bestbuy (No post)
    Amazon (No post)
Newegg (I think post but missed out).

As soon as I started to drive to work. I get a notification of Bestbuy releasing it and AMD… like how unlucky…

I just want to upgrade my Ryzen 5 1400 lol

  27. thecheecko on November 11, 2020 at 1:40 am

so there is no way to update your bios if you bought a new mobo and cpu? and have no old cpu to update then switch out

  28. ETHAN OS on November 11, 2020 at 1:41 am

First things to do when you have r5000:
    1. Press the power button
    2. Talk about the cpu
    3. Turn off the camera

  29. Muy McGear on November 11, 2020 at 1:41 am

i configured my ryzen 5 3600 in the bios set to performance/optimal mode instead of normal mode in ez tuning. this cured the bluescreens i was experiencing after making my first build

  30. Blue Cherry on November 11, 2020 at 1:42 am

we dont need ryzen master if dont clock

  31. Nathaniel Washington on November 11, 2020 at 1:43 am

Imagine in 2022 when radeon series beats nvidia in raytracing, comes out with their 7000 GPUs AND CPUs and probably rocks DDR5 RAM.

  32. Veritas B. on November 11, 2020 at 1:45 am

wait what… I cannot update my new x570 bios without having an older CPU?

  33. Gerel Paul Balunto on November 11, 2020 at 1:45 am

was lucky enough to grab 1 of only 3 available 5950x at a local store here in japan.
got 11008 multithread score on cinebench just by turning precision boost on. this thing is a beast.
AMD FTW. Lisa Su is humanity’s last hope yo. =)

  34. SMP GAMING on November 11, 2020 at 1:45 am

You really seem to hate nvidia and intel , anyway thank you for the video

  35. gr743g43ggfb4 on November 11, 2020 at 1:47 am

I can’t even get step 1 done with the x570 tomahawk and the 5600x. It needs a firmware update but I don’t have a 3000 series cpu to facilitate the update. The motherboard does not recognize the 5600x

  36. Tri A on November 11, 2020 at 1:49 am

Wether i like it or not..
    Congratulations for AMD.
& Congrats too for AMD’s fans.
You guys, may enjoy your victory.
But always remember to be grateful.
    Not be proud.

  37. Asquadron Vitaliy on November 11, 2020 at 1:51 am

Can anyone say about 5600x, did he have same shit like prev gen with autoboost and cooler start crazy? And what about statters in games?

  38. TheBonerJamz03 on November 11, 2020 at 1:53 am

TRUMPS GONA LOOOOOOOSE!!!! WHAT ARE YOU ALL GONA DO NOW HUH?? QQ

  39. Jelle Baris on November 11, 2020 at 1:55 am

From watching several reviews I understand that overclocking the 5000 cpu’s can benefit all core production but usally limits the single core peaks that are benefitial for most games and some production workloads. The gains from overclocking are mostly small so I would personally not do it.

  40. Meka Birb on November 11, 2020 at 1:55 am

My current motherboard have 1151 socket so i have to buy new mobo anyway. I’ll get ASUS ROG STRIX X570-E

  41. D Gabe on November 11, 2020 at 1:56 am

Congratulate yourself on the immense feat of getting the processor itself?

  42. Nandi Brutler on November 11, 2020 at 1:58 am

a lot of boards don’t require any components except a power supply for a bios update

  43. Vishnu Pillai on November 11, 2020 at 1:58 am

Is it true that only the 500 series motherboard will support the smart access memory feature of the Radeon 6000 series with ryzen 5000

  44. MrParanoia on November 11, 2020 at 1:58 am

Ordered 5900x for my first build, can’t wait

  45. Ash on November 11, 2020 at 2:00 am

Not all MB need CPU to update BIOS!

  46. G3ist on November 11, 2020 at 2:01 am

What a a pointless video… 5000 series will be like the 3300x by the time you can get it, Intel Rocket cosmic moon lake sea cow… Will be out. And it’ll have better single core stats….

  47. Andrew Dihtyarenko on November 11, 2020 at 2:04 am

    what a useless video

  48. Lukas SnR on November 11, 2020 at 2:08 am

Why on earth would you recommend xmp profiles? These are intel related and as much as u can say it would work most of the time it’s not best choice

  49. Daniel Gim on November 11, 2020 at 2:10 am

That is if you can buy one. The scalpers were at it again.

  50. Ricz on November 11, 2020 at 2:11 am

does that mean that i have to make a build with my new x570 board first to upgrade the bios so that i can use it with the 5000 cpu i want to use it?
