Nikolas Cruz, a 19-year-old student who was recently expelled, is now accused of killing 17 people and wounding 14 others at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida. NBC’s Gabe Gutierrez reports for TODAY from Parkland, Florida.

I can’t imagine being a child in an American school and being constantly anxious, whilst trying to learn because you just don’t know when some nut job is going have access to firearms and shoot the whole school down. It is utter utter madness that America is still living like the days of the wild wild west.

You can’t feel that kind of fear that kind of anxiety without going through it. You can see the videos and you may think you know how they felt but your only scratching the surface.

He deserves so much pain and torment. A truly evil and demented shell of a human.
Children with no one to talk to, no one to lean on, and troubled are losing their mind.
They are All someone’s child; I want to ask the parents why and how they didn’t see this coming. I think everyone needs to take their busy time from life, sit down and start building relationships with their children when they are little, so the conversation doesn’t seem weird when they are older. They need to know that you are there to support them through bullying, mental illness, or whatever else is troubling them.
That’s what I’m going to continue doing with my kids, so I can prevent my kids from harming others.
Instead of pushing the kids to the screen, please build a meaningful relationship with your children. That’s what parenting is all about, spending the time, sacrificing to mold them into a decent human being who enjoys their life, the only life they are allowed to have.
It’s another reason more and more parents are home schooling which is terrible you have to home school to feel your kids are safer. Such a tragedy.
