This week’s scrapchat 40!!! More copper experiments, vintage gaming, routers and modems and more!!
If you are new here, I can’t currently commit to a regular livestream due to my daughters complex needs so I do a regular weekly Wednesday night scrap chat premier as a way of chatting and keeping in touch with you guys whilst showing what I’ve been up to during the week.
I’m fully licenced for my area and ask prior permission for items inside skips and so far nobody has ever said no, they want the extra space 🙂 I still do quick dives to avoid passing comments, especially as I’m usually out in the evening.
Some lovely people have asked to send me the odd gift, to avoid us both extra fees (shipping for you and forwarding address fees for me) I have, like many finally set up an Amazon wish list. If there is something you would like to send that isn’t on my list, then email me on the address on my about page and I’ll add the product in if it’s available on amazon UK. Any gifts to my forwarding address are of course still welcome and very much appreciated too!! You can email me on the address on my about page. Lots of resin moulds on my wish list too 😉

Sometimes Amazon plays up and my address doesn’t come up in other territories or with non amazon products. If this happens but you still want to get me something off of my list you can send me a friends and family PayPal and tell me what to purchase. You may have to work out the cost in other currencies. I’ll do a video shoutout when they arrive 🙂

Back when I was in the Navy, we used to routinely clean fresh water still coils and other metal components using the flavored drink mix that we referred to as "bug juice." It’s all about the acid concentration. We’d use an old 55 gallon drum, add the concentrate, some water and the metal components. Then run a low pressure air hose in there to give it some action. 24 hours later, clean as a whistle.
I use vinegar in heavy tarnash copper.
Very nice 👍
love it

Dang it all i missed it again i am starting to get very cross with my self now but i am watching the replay ………. Thumbs Up Oh and i watched a man that restores old stuff and he uses this mix to clean up copper and brass before polishing it – %30 salt %30 vinegar %40 flour mixed into a pancake like consistency coat it them wrap it in sandwich wrap leave for 12 hours wash off with water works really good
Good one Sollers
Good day ma’am see you later today. 🌴👍
Had my fingers crossed about the citric acid drink and lemon juice. Maybe Rafal can back me up here. The blue color indicates some copper has gone into solution.
The pure lemon juice?? Yeah, if left on certain types of glazed ceramic tile it can actually "etch" the glaze. Eating too many lemons can cause early errosion of the enamel of your teeth. Certain "harse" tile cleaners use citric acid
Good show!!👍👍👍👍
