Glass Only Apple Watch 4 Screen Fix – NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE!

Glass Only Apple Watch 4 Screen Fix – NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE!

The Apple Watch Series 4 has a glass screen. And glass.. you know… can break. Especially when you’re doin’ active people things like closing your circles. HUGE thanks to my buddies over at https://www.fixdphones.com/ for helping with this Glass only Apple watch repair. Check them out if your watch is broken, (cuz I’m definitely not going to do it again.) He has other videos on the series 3 Apple watch: https://youtu.be/ucVQGA-KSD8 since each Apple Watch version is a bit different.

His channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoBTIuhduIoXk3x81trUnzQ

Attempting a glass only Apple Watch repair is probably the hardest ‘cell phone’ repair there is. And I *highly* recommended not doing it. The most difficult parts of replacing the screen on an apple watch is making sure not to damage the… well… everything. The force touch ring between the glass and the metal body, then the touch sensitive layer right under the glass, and the display right under the touch sensitive layer… The Apple Smart Watch is a fragile sandwich of complexity. Good luck.

    "well" not "good"………….
But otherwise you earn top marks for a delicate skillful repair.
I wonder if this would be possible for someone without your background.
Thanks for sharing the chances to be successful.

I had a really hard time seeing how the "hot vacume" machine worked.. You showed like 2 seconds and then next to the alcohol drops .. I’m slow… Needed more Intel. Dumb it down for us slower people please. Really appreciate all your video’s. Your a great help to every one!!!

Edit; Never mind. Just finished the video. Unless trained on how to fit this product, you don’t stand a chance…. But you do bring back the "Hot Vacume".

Just quit at a local repair store. I just wish our boss would have been willing to let us do this. For like a year I was just telling everyone it’s basically the cost of a new watch. If we had that vacuum plate it honestly doesn’t look too terribly bad but the owner would act like I was personally sacrificing his dog when I spent $60 on a basic heating mat. Meanwhile every iPhone OLED (or any OLED really) that failed cost at least $100 and since nobody else is making more than $12/hr nobody even cares to RMA faulty parts Β―_(ツ)_/Β―

People still buys apple products because there is no other option. Buy an already expensive apple product and pay more if you broke it. Americans are that rich. The very definition of practicality. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ 😁😁 No wonder apple is taking advantage of your stupidity.
