Not defending Best buy but if you look at the disclaimer they flash quick. it does say cosmetic condition is 9/10 or better. So scratches could fall in that range.
bought a ‘refurbished" dell pc from ‘walmart’…piece of junk…didn’t even try to take it back for fixing ..money well spent …seeing as the lesson learned was never to trust them again….the vendor or the product….

Boy am I glad I chose to go directly to the company to buy my tablet online rather then to best buy or any of the other store hubs.
I hate shows that twist stuff completely. Best buy is saying that about THEIR refurbished products that they sell THEMSELVES. Not third party sellers, there is an astronomical differance. I do think these websites need to seperate their marketplace from their personal stock, mind you them claiming something about their own stock does not mean they mean that about every refurbised device out there thats just out to lunch, maybe your writer doesnt understand it, but i think its more just fishing for viratlity.

When I buy iPad I go to the apple store or B&H electronics and I buy new , I never buy refurbished.

Glad to say that when it comes to Electronics I don’t buy anything refurbished. I can’t afford to buy the new higher-end one I buy a new lesser model
You can buy refurbished directly from many company websites like Apple and Dell. You won’t get as much of a discount, but the products should be much more reliable.
Once, I bought a refurbished Dell desktop PC from eBay. I gave the vendor an overwhelming positive feedback. Then, I tried to use it and it was not up to par. They did not give me my money back.
Boo Hoo. People, myself included, who turn to refurbs, pre-own, grey market are trying to avoid full retail and knows full well there’s always a risk. While Best Buy should make it more conspicuous that they don’t stand behind Marketplace products, it is hypocritical for those buyers to expect Best Buy to address any shortcomings. It’s equivalent to a gambler going back to the ticket window demanding refund after the horse lost.

Had the same thing been done with amazon? I purchased an Asus stix g17 with Ryzen 9, 8 gig. I got a used in good condition.
Being that it used Asus will not warranty the product, Amazon hasn’t gotten back, nor has the seller.

before you click on something, you can literally see if its a "Marketplace Seller". I think the main problem here is that people are just not paying attention when they are buying stuff online. Even Amazon has 3rd party sellers you just got to pay attention and not blame it on someone else

Best Buy is not good for warranties but they love to upsell you services. Even for their matching price policy they do not always honor. I try to avoid Best Buy.

I tried returning a defective tablet at the Atwater best buy in eagle Rock CA.
The manager did not want to honor their return policy and told me to go back to the best Buy I bought it from.
Never bought another single piece of gum after that .

I went into Best Buy in Edmonton, just to get myself a simple laptop. Something I can use to watch youtube,check emails, I wasn’t looking for anything extravegant,just something simple I could use. The associate took me around to only a few laptops and down played them all. When we got to the gamer computors he insisted I needed this for my own protection because it was very secure and safe and encrypted. Now I’m 50 years old, I told him this and I ain’t tech suavvy. I took the laptop home and my son who is a computor dude told me it was way too advanced for what I asked for. I was pissed off and the next day I took it back, for them to charge me a 500 hundred dollar restock fee. I could not believe it, they dude sold me something I didnt need, and of coarse he wasnt at work that dy…convenient? I think not.
its true guys. last year i went to purchase a xbox at Best Buy and as soon as i got home i plugged everything and something was wrong with the controller. it wouldnt connect to the xbox. so the same day i went back to the same Best Buy. they exchange me with another one and it was still not working! i went for the third time, i ask to be refund. they did and i went to Walmart instead to purchase the xbox… and i finally got home and it was working and i have it since and its still working perfectly. i never had good experiences with Best Buy in terms if electronics
OK, why would you buy refurbished iPhone (any apple product) from anyone else then Apple? You get same warranty as new product and this is direct from manufacturer who is best in customer service.

Idk really whats happening with BestBuy but latetly their are stilling money from all of us. Their are selling the GPUs almost a 200% or more of the MSRP Price. Thats a shame!!!
I bought a brand new tv at Best Buy for my dad last Christmas. We set it up and find out the screen cracked on the inside.
I take it back and tell them what’s wrong with it and they said they wouldn’t take it back, because I damaged it!
I ended up taking it back to another location and not telling them anything was wrong with it.
